The Royal Mara Lodge came highly recommended by many friends and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived until departure we were taken care of by the wonderful staff. We had a great safari guide, waiter (for each meal) and security man to escort us when the hippos were out. Our 'tent' was amazing. We have traveled a lot and this was the nicest accommodations we've experienced . (the photos are accurate). We saw so many animals, enjoyed breakfast in the field on safari and had delicious meals at the lodge. Royal Mara is smaller and more intimate than many of the other camps and we loved that. We would stay here again

It was the most incredible experience, whilst at one with nature, utter luxury too. The location is unbelievable, literally on the bank of the Mara River full of hippos. They are a constant entertainment from your balcony-or even your bed or actually your bath too. At night you have to be escorted as there are hippos, and even lions and elephants roaming around. The rooms are beautiful The service is probably the best I’ve ever experienced. The game drives were fabulous, our Masai guide knew the land like the back of his hand. Always felt safe. The surprise sunset drinks in the middle of the savanna topped everything! Will absolutely return Thank you team

An experience you will never forget. We visited for 2 nights with our family and friends and loved every second. The luxury tents are beautiful. Expansive and appointed with every luxury you can think of. You can view the hippos from your shower and the outdoor bathtub - hear them chatting and playing throughout the night. You literally feel like you are living in the African wilderness with the animals at your doorstep. Tony and Anna and all the staff treated us as royalty as soon as we arrived. Attentive to every need and accommodating any change in plans. Eric the chef prepared delicious meals. We were even treated to a special NYE celebration. Adored all the staff. The most wonderful retreat after a day of game driving. We found it very hard to leave and when we visit again, Royal Mara will be our first choice.

One of the most spectacular built luxury Csmp just by the edge of the Mara River. Nestled with mixed reactions of what the Mara river concerns and nature... for your luxury Royal, is it. Both the staff and food is beyond expectations . The big game is just a stone throw away from the camp.

We lived there on in first week of July and highly recommend this place. Located on the edge of the gurgling Mara River with hippos grunting all night punctured by lion's call not far away and luxuriously decorated tents and Masai security to accompany you every time you go out or in ( for protection) , set among many trees where monkeys play all day , you may have the luck to see giraffes or hippos grazing outside your tent at night . The food is excellent , served in style and the Mara North is just outside within 3 Km so its easy to go for game drives without wasting time. A hippo pool ahead of the Lodge has hippos wallowing all day long. Some dik diks and warthogs stay in the area as the grass is fresh and green. There can't be any better place to stay for your next African Safari

Royal Mara was exquisite! The rooms were fabulous, spacious, modern, and very well done. Having wifi in the rooms was also a major plus. The outdoor settings were attentive to the environment and being on the Mara River was breathtaking to say the least. The food was always cooked and served well. Tony and Frances and the entire staff were exceptional!!! This was by far the most luxurious stay and I want to go back again and again. The memories made here were momentous and it was such welcoming place to experience the best of the Maasai Mara. I cannot say enough good things about this place and it will forever bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart for the time spent here. Thank you Tony and Frances for one of the best experiences and for everything you did to make our stay so memorable! Your help when we were departing was also above and beyond and Wade and I can't thank you enough!!!

This was our fourth stay at Royal Mara. The recently renovated tents were luxurious! The sounds and views of the hippos in the Mara River are captivating. This staff is the most hospitable and friendly around. Tony, James, Simon -the whole team.

Our four-night stay at the Royal Mara in the Mara North Conservancy was wonderful. The staff took great care of us from start to finish, in camp and on game drives. The accommodations are lovely, the food was excellent and the location is stunning with a view of the river and animals visiting in camp. Special mentions for Samuel our driver, Francis who took care of us at meal time and Anna who was always there (especially behind the bar on our return from game drives). Also Nelson who made sure everything was perfect in our accomodations. We had great game sightings and I hope to return soon.

We stayed in the Royal Mara for 4 nights in August. This camp was by far one of the amazing highlights of the trip. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and have all you need. I highly recommend for all considering a trip to the Mara North Conservancy. "Asante" Tony and to all of the great staff members who make the Royal Mara so special.
