Otia Hotel

Great place to stay..very friendly staff and have nearby amenities

The hotel was horrible, booked in August but when we got there were no rooms available had to wait 5to get a room, bathroom not cleaned, shower blocked we complained but nothing was done, breakfast was finished we had to wait for them to cook,it's bad wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Hotel was clean and decent, most staff were kind and welcoming, Gregorry and Kartola at the kitchen were kind, Rafina was very rude and counted the eggs we should have, never been to a buffet breakfast place where they tell you how many eggs you could have, they’re was 4 of us and we asked for 4 Omelette and she refused to serve us and gave us looks that could kill, she looked at us with so much anger and told us we have reached our eggs limit, wish this was mentioned earlier that 1 person can only have 1 egg, I want to travel for my birthday again but I thought of Rafina and would not go back there for her to ruin my holiday.

Room was good and clean. Comfortable bed. We walked down to South beach, was nic walk. Took tuk-tuk back. Checkin was chaotic, but the staff always very friendly.

I booked a reservation with them through Agoda when I arrived at the hotel ,they couldn’t find my reservation they didn’t want to assist me at all they wanted me to pay more money, The service of the ladies at reception were very rude as it was my first time at the hotel ,they don’t want to refund my money ,they took my money I had booked for 3days my money went to waste without me staying at the hotel !!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!

Really badly managed hotel about room allocation Staff really do not know what they are doing Kept us waiting for 3 hours to check us in as they said hotel was full initially and then found us rooms The house keeping manager Noori was very rude to most guests coming to reception The main manager tried to help but Noori was controlling the rooms Can not understand why ? The management has to fire Noori and train all reception staff As most guests checking in were in the end very angry

Staff let strangers into your room. Scary. Unsafe. Filthy. Gross. Stayed at Otia for a total of 4-5 nights for work. My colleague and I had separate rooms and on 2 separate nights, strangers walked straight into our rooms around 2-3 am. The staff, particularly the people at reception, could not have cared less and seemed very disinterested that they let complete strangers into our rooms. We tested the locks, if someone has the card key, it opens the door even if you use the manual lock on the door. This seems to be a systemic issue. Look at the 1 star reviews, they are mostly single women who had people come into their rooms and/or have their things stolen. The safes also do not work so you cannot lock up your valuables. Saw some cockroaches as a bonus. The breakfast is abysmal and never ready by 7 am. Do not bother staying here as there are plenty of other options that will not let strangers into your room to steal your stuff or do other horrific things to you. They also forgot to replace towels, soap and toilet paper multiple days.
