This hotel has a decent location and, despite looking out at a commuter rail, our room was reasonably quiet. However, what could have been a very nice place to stay was degraded by numerous minor yet, in the aggregate, disappointing concerns. Regarding our room, we found that our hot water was not always hot, lampshade had tears, room picture was not properly framed, a bathroom light was burned out, bath radiator rusted, HVAC fan sometimes noisy,... On our first day we went down for breakfast at 8AM and found that the egg serving tray did not have anything left (staff said their delivery did not happen) and there were two thin/small/hard pieces of French toast. After asking we were brought some cereal and a few more pieces of French toast were brought out. Another couple (after asking) were brought yogurt. On request I was given a glass of juice. [Why not put these items out for everyone instead of three fairly empty silver warming trays]. The caffeinated coffee urn was empty, but staff did bring out a glass carafe of coffee to fill our cups. The first night we enjoyed a couple of drinks and appetizers at the bar. It was interesting that when I showed the bartender the 'Yelp' coupon for a welcome glass of wine he knew nothing about it (I did not press it as a $6 glass of wine was not worth the effort). The Car Valet service was spot on and the room cleaning staff met our expectations. I have traveled and stayed in numerous hotels and found this to be the only one To which I would not return.

I secured a hotel room block about a year before the wedding which was on Sept. 24th, 2022. We were told that if we filled 25 rooms that we would get a free shuttle to the venue or a $600 credit. The person I sent the contract to, Elica, no longer worked at the hotel shortly after we set up the block. Once the invitations went out (about 4 months prior to the wedding) guests started to call to arrange rooms. They were told that there were no rooms left on the block -this before any rooms were filled. When I called to complain, I was told I should have given the guests the online information listed in the contract. The contract had ONLY the hotel number. I was assured this wouldn't happen again, though it happened at least two more times after speaking to them that I was aware of. They require 80 percent fulfillment of the contract or you are charged for all the rooms reserved. I called numerous times and left irate messages before anyone got back to me. Also, I requested the list of quests in the block and was sent a different wedding party's list twice. The hotel block reservation was the most difficult and frustrating part of the whole wedding planning. Many of the rooms only had one queensize bed. I do have to say though, that the final week before the wedding, suddenly everyone was very attentive and I received the credit I was due plus free rooms for booking so many in my block (all 25). The hotel was fine, though I heard that the walls were rather thin. The bar area was really nice and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel itself is pretty but located right off a busy street. I gave an average rating because in the end everything worked out well.

Some of the reviews were not great and I don’t understand why. This place is amazing. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. VERY clean, comfortable bed and pillows, nice bath tub/shower. Great water pressure and heat. Nice nice vanity. Fridge and microwave, coffee maker, Desk, chair, TV. Bed side table with drawers, dresser, big mirror, open closet, iron/iron board. Free wifi. Free parking. Great lighting. Stayed 2 nights, king size room. I’d say the hotel is more of a 3 star.
