The hotel reception looks fabulous, this is where the money is spent, the rooms are tired, need lots of tlc, i had a stained pillow, a damaged wall panel, damaged wall panels in bathroom, the cups I had need a dishwasher before use. The shower smelt mouldy, I have lost an item, I have emailed 3 times, no response— if it’s just one night and you need sleep, and a wash, it’s will do for a night. Please see photos of lack of cleanliness. I found set of stairs as I like stairs, they led to a locked door… this was not a pleasant stay. The breakfast. Tasteless. Coffee machine broke 3 times, needed cleaning/emptying and filling. I left my coffee in the end as it was not as it very nice. There was milk/ juice — I heard customer complaining about the toaster being slow and old. There was fresh fruit — this was a relief as the cooked stuff was not great. I would avoid this hotel in MCR

Facilities: Small but well-equipped. Cleanliness: The hotel seems to have been open for a while, and some areas like the carpets could use more thorough cleaning. Environment: Great location, about a 10-minute walk from two train stations and Chinatown. Service: The front desk staff was very welcoming and provided detailed information.

The hotel's location is excellent. There's a supermarket downstairs, and it's close to the University of Manchester, the city center, and the train station, which is very convenient. However, the air conditioning doesn't get cold enough, and the duvet isn't breathable, so I woke up hot every day. Also, the drainage in the bathroom was a bit clogged, and there was a bad smell coming from it.

The location is convenient, within walking distance to the city center and Manchester University. Although the room is small, it's fully equipped with a hairdryer and kettle, and there's complimentary coffee and tea. The hotel doesn't have a car park, but the staff were very friendly and explained that there's paid parking next to the hotel. You only need to pay until 8 PM, and then it's free until 8 AM the next morning. Thanks to the hotel staff for their help.

So no issues with the staff down at the reception area at all, doing a smashing job representing the hotel, telling us about the app too upon arrival... check in the hotel earlier with app very cool, very nice, also the reception area is where the big bosses of this hotel choose to spend most of their budget as when you get to the rooms it does show. Cleaning staff - now what are they doing? Because they certainly aren't cleaning the rooms, the room was the dirtiest room I've ever stayed in, windows, bed, bathroom, carpets, i know its a budget hotel but basic levels of hygiene and cleaniness should be a must in a hotel, ive stayed in cheaper hotels and they were cleaner! Needs a refurb in the rooms and big recruitment drive for cleaning staff. Me and my partner had to make the bed before sleeping because we couldn't stomach sleeping on it because of how it was. Area is very loud, traffic, horns beeping, people shouting. On a positive note I did like the shower in the bathroom, the water pressure was excellent and it is in a brilliant location attending gigs and festivals in the area.
