Empeiria High Sierra Hotel

This is a great find a few minutes from the slopes. The rooms were clean, well equipped and pretty comfortable. The staff was also very nice and super helpful. Best feature : the pool and jaccuzi!

My sisters found this place in Mammoth. As a family we used to ski here quite a bit. This was long time ago and we rented a condo to stay in with family and friends. But this time we decided to try a hotel. This place was very good. Ashley the desk clerk who helped us was amazing very knowledgeable and professional. It was a pleasure working with her. She made us feel very welcomed. The rooms were clean and neat. Everything worked well, bathroom was nice and there was ample room for us all. We had to leave early due to an incoming storm but was given vouchers to come back and use our final day. It would have been nice if we could have been refunded our money 💰 but we were offered the voucher and we all took them. All in all it was a nice place to stay at and we enjoyed the skiing and tubing. And again Ashley was amazing.

We stayed at the hotel over the new year holiday so we paid holiday pricing. We had a first floor room that looked at the parking lot. Positive: Location was good. It was close to restaurants and walking distance from the village. Relatively updated room. Had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Sink was separate from toilet/shower. Great WiFi. Cozy lobby. I read about noise issues but the hotel was relatively quiet. There were barn door style shutters over the windows which blacked the light. Areas for improvement: It was nice to have a hard surface floor but the LVP in our room was lifting/squishy in areas. The coffee in the lobby needed improvement. Exercise room was meh. It was expensive but half the price of the Mammoth Village hotels which was the deciding factor for hotel selection.

Wonderful hotel. Loved our room, very spacious, clean & quiet. On a road trip, so we only stayed one night, wished we could have stayed longer. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. We had a king bed with a small seating area and a rainfall shower. Loved it.

We looked all over Trip Advisor and were a bit wary of some of the higher rated places. We drove by here, went in and looked no further. We booked a king suite on the top floor. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and large. The barn door window coverings were a nice design touch and kept the sun out in the morning. There was no complementary breakfast but the room had an electric tea kettle and several types of tea. There’s a store close by where we bought breakfast supplies the night before. The hot tub and pool were very nice and not busy with plenty of fresh clean towels. Every staff member we encountered was kind and informative. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

Found this hotel by accident. Had booked another in the area, however, they were having some mechanical issues that significantly detracted from the stay. As a result, we drove around and found this property. Front desk staff were professional and polite and provided a reasonable price for a three day stay. The hotel was clean, nice, and provided everything we needed. Unfortunately, a forest fire in the adjoining county caused significant smoke, ash and poor air quality that prevented us from any continual outdoor activity. As a result, we contacted the front desk and requested a day early check out. While the desk staff was unable to approve, he advised that the manager, Ashley Benson would be in within the hour and available to discuss. In less than the hour, Ashley CALLED ME explaining that she understood the situation and had no problem approving an early check out, refunding our pre-pay room payment. This immediate attention to our situation and understanding not only created an immediate appreciation but locked in our future loyalty to this company. Thank you!

Horrible customer service. We fled the wild fires in LA and we chose this hotel because of their pet friendly policy. When we arrived we saw multiple large dogs. We informed them we had just arrived from LA after driving 6 hours from the fires and we had our cat with us. Immediately the hotel let us know we would be unable to check into our non refundable reservation. They did eventually refund us our money but they left us stranded in the middle of the night after a natural disaster which was unconscionable. Their lack of humanity and unclear policies which get hypocritical are why you should not stay here.

I called today (10/24) to simply clarify their cancelation policy before I made a reservation. The woman I spoke with, Lisa, was curte, sarcastic, and downright rude. When I asked about the cancelation policy, her response was, "That's what it says," referring to the policy stated online. When I asked for her name, I wasn't sure of what she said, so I asked again, saying, "Did you say Lisa?" She responded."That's what I said." We won't be staying there.
