Location: It's about 15mins walk from Jonker Street. Take Grab for about RM 5 to 7, depends on the timing. Located next to Mahkota Parade, where you can find quite a lot of shops and fast food available there too. If you're taking bus from Singapore, you can alight at this hotel. Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: it's consider OK to be honest, just a little stain on the table. The lobby looks grand! Others: The TV programme has to be improved. Some of the channels are dark / mute. Room is spacious, and even have a small living room at the entrance.

A true luxury small hotel. Very cozy. Room is clean. Love the tub. The welcome tea & sugee cake served in the room were nice. As for amenities, its average, could use a better quality of disposable toothbrush & provide slippers for going to the pool. Dining hall has good ambience, breakfast was good & service was personal. Dinner was above average. The pool was clean and dont feel too much clorine. The gym was a bit packed but ok to use when not many guests. There was an unpleasant smell at the dumb bells section, think its from the floor mat at that section. The little local biscuits & sweets at the lobby was a nice touch to let guest try the olden days snacks. The couple spa was fantastic👍🏻. The masseurs were pro.

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming when we were check in with a complimentary cookies, when we got into the room we realised that the fridge wasn't working, we let housekeeping and they immediately changed a new fridge for us. the room was nice and spacious the lights are working fine however the sofa a a little old ed stained.the body foam that they provide probably only can last a day and you are need to ask the housekeeping refill it if staying more then a day . the breakfast is great although we could get a clean table and had to ask the waiter to clean the table for us before we could go and get the food. overall we love the bed the soft pillow and it was a good stay .

The hotel from the exterior looked really grand. The room was quite big in size and the hotel reception staff were nice enough. We (husband, two teenage children and I) arrived an hour early and were directed to the note that they didn’t have early check-ins. The doorman was nice and gave us an umbrella as it was raining when we were going out. However, the bathroom was not very clean with rotting shower screen because of most likely poor cleaning. The towels in the bathroom were supposed to be white but were brown in colour and stained. Unfortunately, we had to use these as there was no other option, felt unclean after shower. The corridor had a musty odour which was overpowering. Stayed two nights and had put up a door sign to have the room cleaned but no one came around and we were out all day. Bottled water was given on the first day but not on the subsequent day. I’m glad we only stayed two nights as couldn’t have tolerated the place for any longer.

cute budget hotel. Was here to celebrate my wife birthday. We love the ambiance and the hotel hospitality. The hotel was in Jonker road. Just walk around the road and can reach back to hotel when we tired. The only drawbacks is the parking is a lil bit far around 800m from hotel. The hotel stay overall was a pretty experience. Located in the heart of little India, a block away from Chinatown, and a couple blocks away from the main Pier area. It’s pretty easy to get around from this hotel has everything is quite walkable. The hotel had staff that were pretty helpful overall. I stayed two nights during Christmas when the hotel was full of patrons, and not a single room was available. The rooms are the typical Ibis kind of rooms but one thing that is good about the Malacca in ibis is that is kept up pretty well. There wasn’t anything that was worn down in the room other than my nonworking TV, which didn’t bother me. Oh, another somewhat of a hiccup that I ran into was the restaurant. According to the menu, the restaurant closes at 10 PM and the sign downstairs indicate 10:30 PM. My wife and I would really hungry and at 9:36 PM, I went downstairs to order an Ibis burger and an apple juice. The waiters at the front desk initially rejected my order, indicating that they’ve already closed the kitchen, but there was no indication of any “last order” time anywhere on their menu, or at their restaurant. Of course, since I was as a bear, I was not up for a kitchen closing early for whatever reason. So, I threaten to contact management indicating that the restaurant doesn’t have a last order time. In response, the waiters contacted the kitchen asking if they are willing to take my order and lo and behold, their chef was going to make the burger and drink. Not sure if this is a Malaysian thing or not, but I thought that was kind of scummy. I didn’t end up contacting management with what happened, but perhaps anybody who is going to order room service at around 930pm might want to use the same tactic as I did.

Located exactly at the heart of the heritage buildings, a stone throw away to the famous Jonker Walk. The property is clean and offer a magnificent view to the Melacca Palace Museum. Staffs are friendly and accommodating with some reasonable favor requested. However, the downside to this property is the limited parking bays available and poor water pressure at the top floor's room. Privacy may be a concern to certain travelers as it is right next to a public park.

I am staying in Johor Bahru and my dad's home town is in Malacca.I stayed at Wayfarer with my parents for 2 days 1 night in conjunction with All Souls Day.I really loved the room very much!It is so oriental,clean,cosy,nice&with a beautiful balcony room.Free wifi is provided as well.Most importanty,the location of the guest house is in the heart of town.What a great location!We could walk around so easily without having to drive our car around the town area.What I like most about Wayfarer is that,it is so close to Jonker Walk,Jonker Street and the Christ church area.Opposite of my balcony room,I can see the St.Xavier's church and the Malacca river with the river cruise boats passing by all the time.I really can't forget my stay at Wayfarer.I truly recommend people to come and stay at Wayfarer!They won't regret it and the price of the rooms are so cheap and reasonable.The toilets are absolutely clean and the management provides hand wash and shower foams for the guests to use.The room that I stayed in also has a bath tub.Last but not least,Wayfarer has given me and my family a very good and friendly service.I will never ever forget my stay at Wayfarer.I will definately come back to Wayfarer to stay again when there is another chance and another good opportunity.So,I would like to wish the management of Wayfarer and their immediate families all the best and good luck in their tourism business and also all the best in their future undertakings!Thank you very much Wayfarer for letting me and my family have a really sweet,fun and lovely stay.We managed to make good memories at Wayfarer and in Malacca.I LOVE WAYFARER SO SO MUCH!
