It’s a very nice hotel. Walking distance to gate 79 (10 minutes) which leads directly to the Kaaba. There’s two towers, 1 & 2, both have a great breakfast. There’s two restaurants in tower 2. There’s a cafe which can make birthday cake if you so wish. There’s a nice prayer room inside the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Advertised as a 5 star hotel however leaves a lot to be desired for a 5 star experience. Would recommend as a budget hotel for 1-2 nights but not for more than this (we stayed 7 nights). 1) Room was not clean when we entered, it had visibly not been hoovered as we found old chicken bones on the floor (see pic) 2) unfortunately we had a room with a broken coffee machine, called housekeeping 4/5 nights in a row, would be promised that someone would come and nobody came- ended up wasting a lot of precious time waiting for this service. On the other hand- when ordering room service, they were very fast (under 5 minutes). May be due to one service making money and the other not. Eventually decided to lodge a complaint with the hotel- as we were paying for tea instead of having access to our own hot water- when mentioning this, the lady at reception said she would send us a kettle. Ended up waiting over an hour for said kettle (which never arrived), called reception again and told them not to send a kettle and that I would like to make a formal complaint after 6 nights of no access/ having to run around to get this fixed, somehow on hearing this they managed to send someone in under 5 minutes. We had access to the facility for 1 out of 7 nights. 3) location - there was no mention of development occurring around Anjum hotel and therefore the shortcut to the masjid was made longer by road blocks/ area blocks. Average time taken to arrive for prayer would be 10-15 minutes (we were two young people so had no issues however this may not be suitable for everyone) 4) Housekeeping would not hoover when cleaning rooms, didn’t change bed sheets for the entire stay for us and did not provide with slippers/ shower essentials that would be expected of a 5 star hotel. (They did give us slippers on the last day after the whole kettle issue😂). Also did not collect any towels so we had a big hill of towels at the end of our stay. 5) only 2 people on the counter at peak times, waiting in line for 20 minutes for check in (check out was a little easier as less busy) 6) no / very little fruit selection during the breakfast buffet, however the other meals provided were of ok quality Overall- any type of pilgrimage is a precious occasion and having to deal with these types of issues during your stay can sometimes overshadow the experience you wish to have. We booked Anjum hotel hoping that they would make our time here a little easier for us (as we were travelling for so long and from so far away), unfortunately this was not the case. I would recommend this hotel for those who are not too worried about being stress free, however personally don’t think I would book here again.

From the moment we arrived at the "5 star hotel", we faced numerous problems. When we had entered our room, we were trying to relax after our tiring journey before we embarked on our Umrah. However, we received a phone call from reception saying that we are late checking out and we must vacate the room. I told them that we had just checked into the room that they had given us. She then apologised for the mix up. Ten minutes later, two strangers entered our room using a key card saying the hotel had checked them into the same room. We told them that we had been checked into the room twenty minutes before. They left to speak to Reception. I rang Reception straight away and explained what happened. They said that they would investigate what happened and ring me back. Instead, a member of the hotel staff arrived shortly after saying we had to vacate the room because we were late checking out. My husband explained that we had just checked in. The man apologised and disappeared. All of this happened while we were in a state of ihram. I rang Reception and told them what happened and how this was unacceptable behaviour. This time I received no apology. In addition, we booked a taxi with the car rental place inside the hotel and confirmed that we had to leave the hotel at 1.30 the next day. The man reassured us that the car would be there. However, this was not the case. The next day at 1.30, there was no car waiting for us. We rang the car rental man multiple times but his mobile kept ringing as it was behind his desk The man behind the car rental desk had vanished from 1.15 onwards. It was 1.35 and I spoke to someone from Guest Relations telling her that we had booked a taxi but it wasn't outside and the man who reassured us that it would be there was no where to be seen. She didn't know what to do. My husband then called a taxi from Karim but the driver was going to be there until twenty minutes later. We had no option but to wait. Then. at 1.45, the car rental man strolls in. I complained that he did not honour his word and we will be late getting to the airport. He didn't even apologise. Honestly, I have never experienced such poor service from a so called 5 star establishment in all my life. The hotel staff are in desperate need of training in customer service. With regards to the room itself, it wasn't sound proofed as falsely advertised. We could hear children from both sides of our hotel room into the early hours of the morning on the three nights that we stayed. The boy from next door also rang our doorbell multiple times and ran away. The first time he did this, he woke me up and disturbed my sleep. When I rang his doorbell and spoke to his mother, she lied that she only had one child who is a toddler. I told her that my husband saw her son ringing our doorbell from the peephole. She then declared that she doesn't speak English! There have been lots of positive reviews about this hotel but I really can't understand why. Please avoid at a

Not sure what issues the people who rate this as 1 or 2 stars have, but this is one of the best hotels in Makkah, location wise the rooms. Stayed in a Haram view, what else can one ask for, i slept with curtains open whole night, that view of Haram and clock tower is the best ever. Room was perfectly clean, price was just right for that time of the season, lower than most in Haram area, Check in wasnt too bad especially with the amount of people checking in and out. Eid breakfast was awesome and fulfilling. Loved the stay.

Clean rooms. Great services and friendly and helpful staff with high standards dealing with customers. The hotel location near from holy mosque just 3 minutes walking through escalators. Also the hotel has small shop at the basement with small musula. You can do salah there. No need to go to the mosque.
