Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel

Paid 17,000 SAR for 7 nights in a Residential Suite with Kaaba View. What my sisters walked into on night one was shocking for a Fairmont: the room stank so badly, like a child's toilet accident never cleaned, that they could not sleep in it. They spent their first night at the Haram instead of the suite we paid for . The room was worn out. Scratched and stained furniture, handprints and grime on windows and mirrors, splatter stains inside the cabinets. See photos. The front desk refused to change the room until the next day, and repeated requests for even an air freshener were ignored. Rude staff, no apology at any point. The room was only changed the next morning after we filed a formal complaint through Trip.com. Also note: the listing advertised a jacuzzi in the room. No room in this hotel has a jacuzzi, only the health club. Confirmed by the hotel itself. Iconic building, unbeatable location, and that is where it ends. At this price the condition and service are unacceptable.

1. My stay at this hotel in Makkah was truly one of the most wonderful experiences I have had. Everything was exceptional, and what stood out the most was the cheerful attitude of the staff and the warmth of their hospitality. Their kindness and dedication genuinely make you feel happy and welcomed from the very first moment. They go above and beyond to serve guests and make the stay as smooth and comfortable as possible, especially the reception team, who were incredibly professional, helpful, and courteous. 2. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the room was absolutely amazing—beautiful, comfortable, and prepared to a very high standard. 3. One of the most outstanding features of this hotel, especially if you choose the Gold stay option, is the private prayer area overlooking the Kaaba. This is truly a remarkable privilege, as it allows you to perform all your prayers in a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds. In addition, there is a private entrance and dedicated elevators that take you directly to the Haram, which adds an exceptional level of convenience and comfort to the entire experience. 4. The afternoon lounge was also excellent, both in terms of atmosphere and service. I was especially impressed by the female staff there, who were highly dedicated, respectful, modest, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding service. 5. In short, this was a truly memorable stay in every way. My sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff for their hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. I will definitely stay at this hotel again many times in the future, and they have my warmest regards and gratitude.

We stayed in the Triple Room with City View and had a very comfortable experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that were perfect after long hours at the Haram. The location is excellent, offering easy access to Masjid al-Haram and nearby shopping and dining options. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. While the room overlooked the city rather than the Kaaba, the comfort, convenience, and overall service made it a great choice for our stay in Makkah. Highly recommended for families and groups looking for a comfortable and convenient hotel experience.
