Our first impression of the room was good. It was pretty spacious. However, after settling in, we started noticing several issues that affected our stay.
The AC wasn’t strong enough to cool the entire room, and we ended up sweating when we were sleeping. There was also a small gap in the window that couldn’t be closed fully, which made outside noise quite noticeable, especially whenever vehicles passed by. On top of that, there was an intermittent noise that sounded like a water tank or machine turning on and off.
It felt unfortunate to be assigned in room 1002, especially since I added a note during booking requesting a quiet room. When I asked the receptionist if there were any other available rooms, they replied, “maingay po ba?”—which made it seem like they were already aware of the issue. Sadly, no other rooms were available, so we had to make do.
We’ve stayed in other rooms at Havitat before, but this particular room also had a faint urine smell in the bathroom, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, we really enjoyed the large TV, which allowed us to relax and binge-watch some shows despite the inconveniences.
