Must go & again! lovely scenic beauty right outside the window, balcony & across the road for beach. Beautiful. Walkable distance from cruise start point. Staff is effizient & warm. It's like being in heaven. Staff took effort to advise on the cruises & bus connections. We went from Saranto by bus & the entire route is scenic. One wishes to stop at every turn. Close to Majori but far enough to keep it less commercial & more beautiful.

Amazing Couples September 2023 12 nights As other reviews have stated, the views are epic which definitely made our stay amazing. In addition to that, it was walking distance to the main streets of Maiori and the ferry docks to venture out to different towns. The rooms were sp**** but extremely clean, thanks to our lovely ladies Elena and Luisa (further to my review 3 weeks ago). There were ants outside our room (none inside the room) on the patio which I took care of with boiling hot water then we met our cleaning ladies who sprayed for us and thoroughly cleaned the patio daily, we never saw another ant. Our ladies restocked our amenities daily (tea bags, instant coffee, shampoo (no conditioner), lotion, soap etc.). Yes, the hand towels are similar to large tea towels but that is quite normal in Italy. The white linens were all clean and changed daily. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The patio doors could use some handles but with some creativity, you can easily close them by using the metal shutters strategically. The metal shutters kept the room so dark and quiet. People have complained about the fireworks and noise from the restaurant across the road but we found it quite entertaining. Italy is alive at night, people eat late, some restaurants don’t even open until 8pm so fireworks at midnight is not really that late. We enjoyed listening to the live music (from the restaurant across the street) and the fireworks after someone got married. On one of our first few nights on the 5th floor there was a wedding at our resort so they lit off fireworks right across the road, we have never been so close to fireworks, although shocking, it was absolutely breathtaking. Our first night we were jet lagged and went to sleep early when the fireworks went off all we could hear was a faint “pop, pop” sound. The hotel does host weddings so there were a few occasions over our 12-night stay that the pool and restaurant/bar on the 8th floor did close early around 4 or 5pm. The restaurant on the 5th floor was open and has a few seats outside but we just picked up a drink there and enjoyed it on our lovely balcony. We initially thought the drinks were on the expensive side (12 euros for a gin and tonic) then we realized it was 4 ounces of gin. As for the included breakfast, here is detailed breakdown: - Coffees, cappuccino, café au lait, lattes etc. - Variety of fresh juices, still and sparkling water - Many freshly made sweets, cakes, tarts - Yoghurt, granola, dry cereals - Cold meats & cheeses - Bread (toasters provided) & buns - All the necessary condiments, butter, ketchup, mayonnaise, pepper grinders & salt - Served hot breakfast, choice of eggs scrambled or fried, bacon, and a fresh fruit plate Breakfast was hardy and generous with an amazing view, a perfect way to start your day. There is a menu available if you want to order something different for a cost as well as Mimosa’s. The hotel also has a shuttle that will take you to near by towns for nom

Booked the panoramic studio. The view from the balcony was magnificent! Fully equipped kitchenette allowed me to cook on a rainy day. Sunset and sunrise from the balcony was spectacular.

A central location right on the main road and just a few minutes walk from the main area of Maiori. We were in room 33, a plus being that we got a balcony with a sea view and glorious views. The road was noisy at times although this is to be expected. There there was a nearby bar that played loud music and what sounded like karaoke until 3am on four nights of the 14 we were there however there were shutters on the patio door which helped to reduce some of the noise. We were directly underneath the garden terrace where they serve breakfast so we could hear chairs and movement from 7am onwards, again to be expected. The room was basic but functioned well with nice comfortable single beds which were put together to make a double. There was a fan and air conditioning, both essential with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. The bathroom was tiled and fairly modern with a good shower, there was a hairdryer (although we didn't use) in the bathroom. There was a dressing table with a decent sized mirror and a small dressing table. The wardrobe was just about sufficient, although we did take a lot of clothes - we were staying for two weeks. There was a safe within the room which we used to store passports etc. The room was cleaned daily unless we specifically asked for it not to be. Towels and linen were refreshed. The breakfast was served on the terrace and there was a good selection of typical continental foods such as omelettes with cheese and ham, bacon. There were a couple of cereals on offer, toast, croissants and locally produced cakes such as lemon. The drinks machine gave the option of various coffees, hot water for tea and there were juices available too. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions, the food was nice enough and typical of what was available in surrounding restaurants. The staff were very busy although very friendly and approachable. Overall we had a great holiday and the hotel was in the perfect position for us to be able to explore the Amalafi coast by bus, boat and train. If you are looking for a quiet location within the region, Hotel Sole probably isn't ideal but with it's superb location, it really does depends on what your priority is.

Casa Raffaele Conforti

I was in the Amalfy Coast with my spose almost one week celebrating our 30th anniversary of our marriage. Wy stayd in the Casa Raffaele Conforti, in a small town Maiori, very near to Amalfi. It is a very nice hotel, small but with classical touch in everything: furniture, walls, etc. The personnel of the hotel is very attentive, polite:Tania, Alfonso always try to help you in any matter you need or are interested. I liked one more thing I never have had before in another hotels: the breakfast time. Usually, you should wake up at 8 o´clock to have breakfast and you can use this opportinity only until 9 o´clock. Here, in the Casa Raffaele Conforti you can have breakfast until 11 o´clock! The rooms are very clean. We liked everything and highly recommend the hotel to everyone.
