Raya Heritage

The wooden houses, balconies with lush green views, natural food, linen textures, and the gentle breeze – these are my fantasies and summary of Chiang Mai. If I wanted to piece all these elements into one scene, Raya Heritage would be, in my opinion, the most 'Chiang Mai' accommodation. The service, room, public area decor, and ambiance are all incredibly cohesive; nothing feels artificially contrived. Located by the Mae Ping River, about 20 minutes from the city center, it offers a more private and tranquil setting, perfect for creative work and rejuvenation. The balcony sofa is spacious, and with several huge cushions, you can comfortably lounge and relax. Watching the rotating wooden fan and listening to the river flow, even with a brighter and more modern interior design, we still dedicated half of our time to the balcony. The hotel provides outdoor flip-flops and straw indoor slippers, fresh orchids, insect repellent… every visible item has its own specially designed container.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the location is a bit out of the way, and there isn't much to buy within walking distance. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, and I had booked one with an outdoor terrace. I particularly loved the daybed both inside the room and on the terrace; it was large and very comfortable. The minor downsides were that the outdoor terrace had some small bugs, mosquitoes, and geckos, and you had to be careful of gecko droppings on the daybed. Also, the mini-bar was on the terrace, which was a bit inconvenient because I didn't want mosquitoes flying into the room when I didn't want to be outdoors. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Among all the hotels I've stayed in, this was personally the best sleep I've ever had, but it's on the softer side, just for your reference. The bathtub was great, but the water drained very slowly, which wasn't a big issue for me personally. I used room service, and the food was delicious. Breakfast was à la carte, and the restaurant, while not huge, had both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff advised dining before 9 AM; I usually went around 8 AM, and it seemed there were only about three or four other tables besides mine, making for a very comfortable and spacious atmosphere.

This was our last stop in Chiang Mai. We had been quite tired from the previous few days of sightseeing, so we chose to relax here for the last two nights. Since we were traveling with our child, we opted for a pool room. The private pool was actually larger than it appeared in the photos, which was great for the little one to swim in. Before arriving, I had seen some warning posts online, so I was a bit nervous, but our actual experience was quite good. It's beautiful, truly beautiful; it has a different charm whether it's cloudy or sunny. The hotel food was tasty, though a bit pricey. The service was also very good; everyone was polite, smiled, and greeted us. The room was neat and clean, although the mattress was indeed a bit soft. Also, apart from a small carton of milk, everything in the mini-bar was chargeable, so remember to stock up at 7-Eleven before you arrive. 😂 We signed up for the herbal ball making activity on Thursday, but it was over in less than 10 minutes. The activity felt a bit perfunctory; it's definitely not worth making a special trip back for if you have other plans. It's still worth visiting for a girlfriends' trip or a romantic getaway. As for a family trip, we went because Mom wanted to, hahaha!

I'm so angry! I booked this hotel for over 2700, and when I checked out, they insisted we took one of their bags and demanded I pay *** Thai Baht before I could leave. We absolutely didn't take anything. The slippers in the room were woven grass, not disposable, and felt quite dirty. The hotel itself is small, but the rooms are large. There's no good spot for photos; the pictures on Xiaohongshu must be from a specific room type. The common area only has a few trees and some grass. We booked a pool room, but it was impossible to get any good photos there – just mosquitoes and flies everywhere. Plus, there were frogs croaking non-stop for hours in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep.

This is a hotel that makes you want to visit Chiang Mai every month. It's the top choice for those who love the wind, insect sounds, and sunshine. During the off-season, there aren't many people, offering great privacy. It's very natural – after a few days, I've practically made friends with the bugs!

Small and beautiful, with a delicious breakfast! Given its proximity to nature, mosquitoes are unavoidable, but it's a quiet Chiang Mai hideaway, perfect for unwinding.

The environment is beautiful, the service is very warm, and the room is also good. The only drawback is that the TV is too small!
