The room is really spacious but had no view. I expected a bathtub but it was bathtub or shower. The bed was big.

Paid £270 for a one night stay on a Tuesday. It was good job it was for one night. The room was too hot and the aircon did not work until the morning. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows far too soft. The room was so dated. By far the worse Ibis I have stayed and I have stayed in many; particularly when most in Europe offer good value for the money. At that price, I expected a kettle in the room and there wasn’t even a bin in the main room. Just a small bathroom bin. Gets another star because of location and the staff did well - not easy one person running both the reception desk and the bar. I didn’t experience breakfast/the restaurant.

Great value accommodation including breakfast. We had a room on the top floor with nice urban views and views of the bill fighting arena. Nice view of sunrise. Rooms given a full service daily. Very close to the metro and took less than 10 minutes to get to the city centre, easy to navigate. When using ticket machines it was initially a little confusing, top up by number of trips and can use one card for multiple people. Breakfast was good, very simple but very adequate. Espresso coffee machine as well as filtered coffee and hot milk.

The hotel was very accessible (in front of Ventas Metro station) from the airport and to the various attractions in Madrid. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was enough to sleep in, especially if you’ll be out the entire day and if you’re one a budget.

WARNING: This review contains more than 256 characters. If you can read more than 256 characters without fainting like many of my younger students from FIU (Florida International University in Miami), who had a heart attack when they had to read a full page, then keep reading and you will learn something new. Since my first trip to Madrid in June 1963 when I was 19 years old, I have slept in more than one hundred places, from cheap Guest Houses (when I was a young and poor student at the Sorbonne University in Paris in the 1960s), then in HOSTALES (half a way between a cheap Guest House and a real hotel, when I was a young French professor, just as poor, after 1968) and finally in real hotels, now that I am a retired professor, poorer than ever, after 46 years of priesthood teaching French to French natives in "Great Paris" during 36 years, then extending my priesthood for 10 more years teaching at FIU, always for peanuts! But since 2016 I have been staying at this IBIS MADRID VENTAS during each stopover on my way to and back from Paris, where my sons were born and raised by their French mothers, because this Ibis offers a GREAT LOCATION, with plenty of PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION and a GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. It is located on Calle de Julio Camba, right at the corner of Calle Alcala, just across from Ventas Plaza de Toros, where bullfight shows take place, and most rooms have a wide open view over this Plaza Ventas and Calle Alcala, which runs uphill towards Plaza Lineal, then to Canillejas, where you can take bus 101 to Barajas airport (but only T 1, 2 and 3) and bus 200 to all terminals, 1 to 4, at the same airport. Just across this IBIS, there is Metro Ventas, where you can take the subway to and from the airport, but I have a better and cheaper solution with only two busses from Terminal 4, where most big US (and also Iberia) airlines arrive and depart from. On my last trip, Sunday August 6, 2023, my nonstop Iberia flight from Miami landed in advance (as most often) at 1 pm sharp at Barajas airport in Madrid. But the time to walk, walk and walk on Terminal 4 International, then pass the Border Police with a Machine (very, very FAST!), go downstairs, take an automatic, driverless, underground train to Terminal 4 Domestic, go through Customs at a lightening speed and get out, it was already 2 pm when I took BUS 200 at the right end of T4. I paid 1.50 € on BUS 200 (WARNING: unlike Miami bus drivers, in Madrid they give change back BUT MAXIMUM CHANGE is for a 5 € note) and less than half an hour later my bus was at the AVENIDA DE AMERICA bus terminal, after going through terminals 1, 2 and 3 and taking the expressway to Madrid with a stop at CANILLEJAS. Two floors up the escalators, and about half a block later, I crossed the Avenida de America, then I crossed Francisco Silvela, walked a few more steps and took bus C-1 (CIRCULAR 1), where I paid 1.50 € again for 3 stops. A few minutes later, I got off at PLAZA MANUEL BECERRA, crossed it and

ibis Madrid Centro Las Ventas is right opposite the Ventas Arena and the Ventas metro station. It is easily reachable and it is a very good hotel: my room had a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Insulation from outside noise was very good, and air conditioning was efficient and not noisy. Breakfast was good, with several choices available. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I probably should recognise the fact that I'm paying for a budget hotel in a major city but it just didn't hit the spot for me. On the positive, this is right next door to a Metro stop and you can quickly get into Puerta del Sol and the museum area. The room is large but lacks comfort. For the size of the room, they could have put in a slightly comfortable chair but at least there is a desk and chair. There aren't many amenities in the bathroom. The reception area has a small bar but as we didn't have breakfast, I can't comment on the main dining room. They have a carpark but you have to pay an additional amount and it's a very tight carpark to get into so if you have a big car, you're going to have to breath in going down the ramps. Good price for a city hotel.

I’m giving this 4 stars, since it’s only a 2-star hotel. I’ve had 4-star hotels that only deserved 2 stars, so… It was a last-minute stop I had to make in Madrid and on such short notice I took whatever was available in the area. My room came with a nice balcony. Although the balcony wasn’t very clean, it’s still enjoyable when it’s still at least 21 degrees outside at 2 am. Breakfast is simple, but good. Bathroom has a nice size with a good shower. The only “disadvantage” is that there is no minibar in the room. But the bar at the reception area is open 24/7, so you can pick up what you need there. Staff were all very friendly. Only a short drive away from the airport too. Just watch out with the airco. It blows cold air right onto the bed, so not always that good for everyone.

Good location and value. This is a budget hotel, but very well appointed and decent size rooms. The rooms at the back have no natural light as they look into a light well, but have the advantage of being incredibly quiet for a city centre. The hotel is just across the road from the metro station so easily accessible

We booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced and within easy walking distance of the Wizink Centre where we were attending a concert. We knew beforehand that it was a budget hotel but we found it to be very good value for money. The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel was very clean and is situated over the road from a metro stop (las Ventas) which made it easy to get to the centre. The continental breakfast was adequate but they could really do with 2 toasters as some people were hogging the one old toaster that took ages to do its job! We did not eat at any of the restaurants in the immediate area as there did not seem to be a great choice. To sum up this hotel is a good choice for a couple of days away,
