Good location. Comfortable stay.
However, the elevator is small, we cannot fit 2 luggage and 2 people in. Moreover, the nearby area is quite dark at night. Not feeling safe when we return at night.

Located near Atocha train station and within walking distance (＜40m) for major attractions (galleries, museums, royal palace etc). Room was clean however the design of hotel itself is not convenient. Upon entrance, there’s a revolving door at a raised level with small steps then after the revolving door you have to step down again. For travellers with heavy luggage this design is problematic- staff will try to help but when busy you have to handle yourself, no bell boys. Free water provided for first check in only and not available for subsequent days. Amenities very limited. Overall at this price level there should be other equivalent or better alternatives.

One of the waiters at Reception had a very bad attitude. On the day of check-in, October 30, I asked a waiter if I could leave some luggage and come back to the hotel two days later to pick it up. She said it was possible but she needed to pay a service fee of 3.4 euros per day for each piece. But until October 31st, we checked out at 12:00 and left our luggage in the luggage room. We planned to retrieve some of our luggage in the afternoon and left some of it. At that time, the reception was around 4:30 pm and another female waiter was on duty. She Said the luggage room was full and couldn't provide storage service for us, but when we left with all the luggage, a waiter opened the door of the luggage room, there were only two or three pieces of luggage inside, there was a lot of space. It was very inconvenient for a group of six of us to take the train to another city for business negotiation with our luggage.

Good welcome. Hotel very close to the Prado and Reina Sofia museums, Chrystal Palace park and Atocha station. On the other hand, located on major car traffic arteries, the room has two windows to reduce noise. For a 4 *, I found that the room lacked the kettle, tea and coffee tray, just a small bottle of water. By cons pushed heating, I had 26 degrees C in the room, too hot!
The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath but not enough soap, gel etc. The single room does not offer a double bed but a bed for 1 person.
At breakfast I found the choice ok but also not exceptional, the quality is that of supermarkets, except for the spinach tortilla. For tea fans, in AC chains it's often Dilmah.
Convenience stores around the hotel for water and other purchases, it's practical.
Overall, the stay was good but nothing more, not really comfortable. Carlton by Marriott, it's a dream but it's another dream on the spot. It lacks charm and good fengshui. I will not come back.
