Relatively quiet location 10 minutes from the train station. Only the mosque next door wakes you up at half past four, but that's hard to avoid in the whole country.
The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated with old furniture. We got one of the rooms on the third floor with a terrace and a view of the city.
The bathroom was dirty, but no mold. There is no sink and you have to use the shower. There are a few ants and cockroaches running around the room, but that's typical for the price of the room.
The staff was nice. Check-in was quick and easy.
The breakfast was great. Classic Indonesian.
The city is worth a stay. It is the only one so far with beautiful, well-kept and large sidewalks. Great for jogging and walking. Everything was very clean and well-kept. The dinner was fantastic.
