Sofitel Tamuda Bay Beach and Spa Reviews

Very nice hotel at beautiful Tamuda Bay. The room is spacious, equipped with everything you can expect of a hotel of this class. The staff is welcoming. Breakfast is good, many choices of pastry, meat, fruits, juices, local dishes, too. The pool isn't huge and mostly occupied by families with kids, but it has beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as the beach itself. Although it's not 100% private, the hotel has its own slice of shore where the beach chairs are located (free for guests). The beach is neighboring the Royal Palace which is not allowed for visiting — including its stretch of the beach. But this makes the hotel beach the last available and a deadend in a way, this is why it's not crowded at all comparing with the city beach. The beach itself is nice, covered with seashell debris, the sea bottom is sand, and the entrance is easy and sloppy. The city is within 15 minutes walking. All in all, everything is perfect but there is one huge BUT. Every single night there was a party going on in the hotel courtyard. We stayed there for five nights, and every night the party ended between 23:30 and 0:50. We called the reception, but they couldn't do anything. It was unexpected and wasn't mentioned in another reviews. So if you prefer calm places or you're with kids who need to go to bed early, you might consider another options.

I like the location and the beach

The room was very nice, but unfortunately it was on the first floor, so the sea view wasn't fully appreciated. Check-out time was earlier than usual, so be aware of that. The breakfast was excellent! The hotel spa was reasonably priced, but very popular; you must book in advance if you want to go. The restaurant's food was consistently good, though a bit pricey, but worth it for the sea view. The beach had many shellfish, so please be careful to protect them. The sea view was truly magnificent, definitely worth staying for two days!

This hotel is very old for a 5-star. Many of the staff are unfriendly and unprofessional. We asked for a crib, but they didn't bring it. We called several times during the night, and they kept saying they would bring the crib, but there was nothing. We called before 10 PM and only got it at 1 AM after several calls. The cleaning lady came at 9 AM, and we were still asleep. It was truly awful. I'm disappointed.

The hotel is very good! Clean, perfect, the sand on the beach is smooth, all the sun loungers have huge soft mattresses, lots of hammocks, all sorts of little sofas to get comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent! There is everything you could want. The food at lunch and dinner is also at a high level, the prices are not cheap, of course, but that is understandable... you are in a hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, there is a sofa and a swing on the balcony))))) The only downside is that some of the staff (even at the reception) do not understand English, even numbers... it is difficult to find out something if there are any problems.

Excellent stay! No more Turkey for me. Everything was super organized, super breakfast and especially the service.. Really great! Please keep it up Sofitel and don't let it deteriorate. Unfortunately you usually see in Morocco that everything gets worse after the years. But for now really top 10+

The location is very good, the Mediterranean Sea is right outside the window, and the beach is great. Highly recommended.
