Luzmar Villas

A relaxing holiday in beautiful, eventful Portugal at a pleasant hotel comprised of several villas in a quiet location with good amenities and excellent cuisine. I had half-board. The hotel is particularly suitable for guests who want to explore the country during the day. The beach is 2 km away. There's a bus stop around the corner, but a car is recommended. The grounds are very well-maintained; kudos to the gardener, the caretaker, and the entire service team. However, those who prefer a hotel holiday should look for a large hotel complex in a tourist area with an indoor pool (open in November) and entertainment.

What a lovely hotel. The staff do everything to make you feel comfortable. The garden is perfectly maintained. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast was top-notch every day!!

We stayed at this accommodation for 10 days. It's located a bit outside of Luz, so a car is definitely an advantage! The grounds are very nice and well-maintained. The rooms are clean and spacious. Unfortunately, our room smelled very damp and musty. The breakfast buffet was very varied, with fresh fruit available daily. However, the coffee from the machine was undrinkable.

Not bad in itself, but the entrance doesn't look very appealing. The red-painted walls are poorly maintained; it looks like a work in progress that isn't finished. The room itself was fine, spacious with large beds. The portable fridge, on the other hand, was noisy, so we turned it off. All in all, fine for a few days, but something really needs to be done to truly earn those 4 stars.

We were on holiday with our 3-year-old daughter and we loved it!! The hotel is very quiet, far from the crowds that the Algarve often has, and it's only a 5-minute drive from Praia da Luz beach. It's not luxurious, but everything is very tidy, well-maintained and clean, and it has a very nice outdoor pool area. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was very good. We always had dinner at the hotel and it was all great too, a buffet dinner with very well-prepared food, we liked everything! And I have to highlight the friendliness of all the staff, especially the gentleman in charge of the dining area, he was very kind to us and very attentive to details for our daughter. The only less good aspect to mention is really the dinner time, which is only served until 9 pm. We found it too early for someone on holiday and in the middle of the summer season, when you try to enjoy the beaches as much as possible. In our opinion, this is the only aspect that could be improved, at least during the summer season.

The hotel was remarkably peaceful, the food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. The service was impeccable. The rooms were always spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. We will definitely return.
