GGuest UserOutstanding experience! The service was impeccable, and the views were breathtaking. I had emailed a month in advance, specifically requesting a room with an unobstructed view. So, I was quite disappointed to find the pool view still blocked by trees upon arrival. However, to my pleasant surprise, the wonderful lady at reception was incredibly helpful. She upgraded our room immediately, which perfectly resolved the issue. A big shout-out to Ctrip as well! Before my arrival, I noticed the room price had dropped, and they promptly refunded me the difference. This truly made for a perfect vacation!

CChanizuka SoryoThe Surin Phuket had been on my bucket list for years. With its stunning location and glowing reviews, I arrived with high expectations — but sadly, what I experienced fell well short of what a true five-star hotel should offer.
From the moment we arrived, there was no bellboy, no concierge, not even a welcome greeting until someone from the front desk eventually came outside. It was a flat, uninspired start to what I had hoped would be a special stay.
That evening, I went to the beach bar and was met with an unwelcoming attitude from a male staff member (overweight, wore glasses) — no smile, no eye contact, not even a basic acknowledgment. It made me feel uncomfortable, and the lack of warmth stayed with me.
Throughout the stay, I passed the checkpoint staff multiple times, and barely received a greeting. While some staff in other parts of the resort were kind and helpful, the service overall was inconsistent and, frankly, disappointing.
The cottage was okay in terms of design, but clearly dated. The bed was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on — extremely soft, sunken, and unsupportive. It was not what you’d expect from a 5-star resort. I left a note requesting a mattress topper, but no one followed up, and housekeeping didn’t even acknowledge the request.
One day, after ordering room service, housekeeping placed the dirty dishes on the balcony during cleaning but didn’t take them away. I called the front desk, who said someone would collect them, but by 5 PM, they were still there. I had to call again. Worse, the placement was unsafe — strong wind and rain could have caused them to fall off and injure someone.
Safety was another concern. The walkways between cottages are high up, but the railings are dangerously low — far below standard height. It felt unsafe just walking around the property.
Breakfast was just okay. The selection was limited and far less than expected. One morning, when only two tables were occupied, four staff members were present — but not a single one greeted us, even though they weren’t busy. It created a cold, impersonal atmosphere.
Having stayed at places like The Park Hyatt Bangkok and Sri Panwa, where hospitality, service, and attention to detail are outstanding, The Surin simply doesn’t compare. Those properties make you feel truly welcome — here, I often felt like an afterthought.
Yes, the location is beautiful, the beach is pristine, and the resort is surrounded by lush greenery. But service — the heart of any luxury experience — was missing. Sadly, there was nothing here that made us feel we'd want to return.

GGuest UserI believe it used to be a Six Senses resort. It's located on an island, just a five-minute speedboat ride away. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. The hotel truly embraces its natural environment, so be prepared to encounter wildlife like centipedes, insects, snakes, monkeys, and various small birds. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to completely unwind and relax at the property. However, the food variety at the hotel is somewhat limited, and there are virtually no other dining options on the island. Despite these points, it's still a great place overall.

Mmina112873This resort, the filming location for the third season of the American series 'The White Lotus,' boasts an absolutely stunning environment. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a lake-view villa. Unfortunately, it was the rainy season, and the beachfront pool was undergoing renovations, which meant I couldn't fully enjoy the beach holiday experience and mostly stayed within our villa. The breakfast spread was extensive and exactly to my taste. The breakfast restaurant staff were also very proactive, always greeting guests and sometimes even striking up a conversation, making for an excellent dining experience! I definitely plan to return to Anantara when it's not the rainy season for a complete experience!

MMarkBrilliant week staying at Tantawan.
The staff are all very friendly, they are super helpful with everything asked. The villa is beautiful and has everything needed, breakfast overlooking Kamala was a treat.
The location is out of the town, up a hill, making the villa really quiet, creating a feeling like you're alone and not in a busy resort.
The hotel app is very easy to use, explained very well by the staff. Shuttle bus is very helpful service.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

MmysteryblackmoonWe stayed in the Studio Ocean Pool Villa and had a really wonderful experience. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with a private pool overlooking the sea—waking up to that view was unforgettable. It felt very private and relaxing, perfect for a romantic getaway.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist. We found the in-app service very convenient, as we could request a buggy, food, or anything we needed with just a few taps.
Food was a highlight—breakfast had a good selection, and dinner was very good, both in quality and taste, with the restaurant offering a fantastic view of the bay.
The only small downside is that the location is quite remote, so you need a taxi to get to Phuket Town or the beaches, but this also makes the resort peaceful and quiet.
Overall, the Studio Ocean Pool Villa gave us the perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and relaxation. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a serene escape in Phuket.

IInaRI didn't read any reviews before booking this hotel which I in hindsight probably should have. The resort is beautifully designed but a lot of parts seem like they have not been renovated for a long time. My initial hotel room was located very close to the restaurant and beach area. The location of the room was great which is probably the reason why the hotel gave me the room in the first place. However, it must be one of the most frequented rooms from what the interior looked like. From the wooden floors to the living room table, the wooden wardrobes and black tiles. Everything was either scratched, lost parts of the paint or told other stories of heavy usage. Even the shower handle was loose. Which is just not what you expect when you book a hotel in this price range that is a member of design hotels. That being said, when I reached out to reception to discuss the room, a member of the staff arrived within 10 minutes to show me around the resort, so I could take a look at other rooms. I ended up upgrading myself (with a very special deal that the hotel offered) into a superior room category and had the best stay after. The staff was very attentive and helpful in any situation and clearly did their best to make up for some flaws. I enjoyed meals in both restaurants, room service, I worked out in the gym, attended activity classes and had some spa treatments. All to my complete satisfaction. I wished I had checked into my second room right away because if I did, my overall experience would have been a lot different. Thanks again to all of the staff, you're doing an amazing job.
