The hostel is very nice for the orice what you get woth breakfest included is more than good. The location is very busy during the day with a lot of street vandors and bazars.

The Restroom is pretty old and not clean at all. Also staff are smoking at the reception, which was very shocking to me. If you get a room at the ground floor, you may smell cigarretes in your room. Also the neighborhood and atmosphere around the hotel are not safe i feel.

Passable for a budget stay. Not many hotels in that same road.

This Place is very clean and aesthetic. They have a rooftop to enjoy Luxor city on the top. Kitchen is available to use for guest. But im waiting too long for check in due any misscomunication about receptionist and owner. But over all, this place is very good and just need 1km by walking

It is a fabulous raw and Rustic location in theHeart of Luxor. Just for an local life experience, we moved from exotic beach hotel accomodation to this Hotel. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!! Best part was the Terrace, It is amazing. The photos we shot on it were simply mesmerising!! The Staff were very very friendly and were always there for us in organize our trips, pick and drops!! Overall we enjoyed our stay in Happy land Luxor!!

The rooftop was very comfortable. The room was just the right size. It had a bathtub and was very comfortable. However, it was noisy outside until late at night.

I highly recommend this place for solo travelers. The owner listens to your requests and responds appropriately. You can also rent a bicycle. And the breakfast is a la carte and excellent.

I am a 25-year-old East Asian backpacker. I stayed in February 2015. [Cleanliness] It is clean above the price range, so you should not feel uncomfortable. *The shared bathroom may vary depending on the hotel mate you stay with. The beds and futons are clean. There were no bed bugs, and I have not heard of any such things. [Location] It is conveniently located in an alley in downtown. It is about a 10-minute walk from Luxor Station, so access is good. *It may feel dangerous because it is a dimly lit alley, but it is not dangerous because only locals and children are staying there. There is a little noise because children play with firecrackers, but if Cairo is 10, this hostel is about 2. [Service] Many of the staff understand English and communication is easy. They are used to arranging tours, so if you actively use them, you should be able to have a fruitful stay. *Depending on the number of participants, the hotel mates will arrange tours for you, so there are many opportunities to make friends through tours. [Amenities/Facilities] The shared bathroom is inconvenient because it is integrated with the toilet, but there are many in the hotel, so there is no waiting. *Hot water is available. Soap is not provided, but previous residents may have left some. If you buy it at a nearby store, it costs about 65-70 EGP. The breakfast menu is basically the same, but it is delicious so it is not a problem. *I have never had a stomach ache from breakfast, so please eat it with peace of mind. The rooftop is a dining area and community area where you can exchange information with hotel mates. *This is the best and distinctive feature of this hostel, so please spend more time on the rooftop than in your room during your stay. There are cute dogs and cats. This hostel is recommended for backpackers and solo travelers. I did not feel any bias in the nationality of the hotel mates, but I think your satisfaction will change depending on whether you can communicate in English or not.

The building is old and the facilities are outdated. The shower worked well and the hot water came out quickly, which was good. Laundry was 5 pounds/pc, but I didn't get any change back.

Overall, it was pretty good. The most intolerable thing for me was that on the first night I stayed, they played the music all night long for some reason. The sound was so loud that I didn't sleep at all on the first night, which seriously affected my subsequent itinerary.

There are many Chinese people, and the front desk guy is good. There is a Chinese restaurant a few hundred meters away

Stayed for about a week in 2024. Easy access to Luxor, Karnak Temple, restaurants, and the station. Breakfast is more substantial than the price would suggest. They also organise tours to the Valley of the Kings, Menedid Habu, etc. (300 EP as of 24.2. The guide was kind, polite and wonderful) The building is old but clean. The shower has plenty of hot water. It's a good idea to bring your own towel. Recommended for backpackers and those looking to keep costs down.

The room was noisy and I couldn't sleep because it was still a very old window air conditioner. I had to leave the room after booking for three days.
