Inside the hotel, all the restaurants were fully booked to make a reservation even though they were all inclusive.
I wish the food was little bit better but overall, it was a nice get away travel place.

The hotel is small and there are few choices of restaurants and bars. There is only one coffee snack bar and no activities. Generally speaking, it is acceptable for those who like to lie flat and have a quiet vacation. The hotel lobby is very beautiful. The swimming pool is divided into several infinity pools. Very enthusiastic and generally cost-effective

Went with a group of 13 and 6 of the 13 got extremely sick after the first day. Originally we assumed it was the normal risk you take with potential tap water in the ice cubes/washing fruit (we did not consume or even brush with the water). But upon returning home, those who had been sick for 5 days sought emergency care in the US and received word from the health department they had confirmed salmonella and e.coli from the resort. Those that were sick did not eat or drink outside the resort and when the resort was told, they told us it couldn't possibly be from their food and we are the only group out of 1500 guests with this issue. Extremely disappointed in the lack of concern for our group that paid for a 5-star resort and did not get more than 1 full day to enjoy it before falling very ill, nearly unable to make it on the flight home. After getting back, we also noticed other reviews of people who got salmonella in years past here. Would be cautious if considering going here.

Resort was nice and staff was very attentive, but unfortunately 6 members of our group got salmonella poisoning within first couple days of our stay and could not leave the room. We communicated with the resort to inform them of this, that the poisoning was coming from their resort, and they were incredibly dismissive

This was a fantastic mother daughter trip where we felt so well taken care of and never bored! Loved the vibe and found each staff member went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Overall, my stay at the marquis was amazing. Beautiful ocean front room, attentive staff, and great food. Felt so relaxed the entire time I was there! I will be back!

This was my first time staying at an all inclusive resort, and I’m in love. The staff at Marquis are so attentive and kind, they’re all having fun. The food here is also really good, with Ballenas being the best restaurant on the resort. Don’t miss the lunch buffet served daily by the pool, this was our favorite food we had!

6 out of the 13 in our group got ecoli and salmonella poisoning during our stay. As a highly rated resort I thought the food would be safe to eat, we were sadly wrong and required emergency care after returning to the US. Never again.
