Tilt Hotel Universal/Hollywood, Ascend Hotel Collection

Very good, will stay next time. In particular, the hotel can purchase tickets for Universal Studios for a discount of $ 25 each. This place is convenient for parking ($ 15 per night) and is close to Universal Studios and the Avenue of Stars.

I expected a little because it said that breakfast was included, but it was too poor. Only a small loaf of bread and cereal came out. Drinks were orange and milk not 100%. The milk was also unsanitary mixed with water falling from the ceiling. My son had a stomach ache from the effects. The employees were kind and taught me a lot about the city.
Colony Inn

The place is pretty basic, but functional. I like to say it’s about two notches better than Motel 6. Pros: -Location: About a ten-minute walk from restaurants on Magnolia and Lankershim. Major grocery store also in walking distance. Easy access to freeways. Valley Village Park also in walking distance - great for morning or sunset walks -Free parking -Free wifi Cons: -Not enough mod-cons. Outlets are sp**** -Room space is good but layout is not used to its best potential (see pics). Pls consider updating the desk and chairs. There weren’t even hangars in the bureau. The lighting could be improved too; consider using lamps instead of canned lighting -If you’re a light/sensitive sleeper, bring earplugs. You can hear the traffic from Vineland Ave. The hotel is under the flight path of BUR airport. I can’t comment about neighbor noise, but it was quiet during my stay (save the traffic and airplane noise) If you’re ok with the bare necessities, Colony is a solid stay. Were it not for its location, I would have rated lower.

The area where the hotel is at leaves something to be desired but because most hotels in the area were booked ( I do not know why in the midst of a lock down), so no choice but to go with this ( trust me, there were worse ones in the list of choices, yuck!). It also appears that most folks who were staying in this area were either relocating or passing through because none look to be from the area ( to be honest, they look like folks who lost their homes or were into drugs because their vehicles were mostly packed) but anyway, even though I requested to be on the first floor I was assigned to the second floor, between two rooms that were just noisy, and I told the front desk this, but no way to relocate me as the hotel has no vacancy so after two night I can take it no longer and had to check out early, and this was pre-paid stay the Chinese lady was none to happy that I was checking out and had the audacity to tell me that next time I need to be sure of my dates ( I heard her! and when I asked her to repeat what she said) she said nothing but of crse I already understood her grumbling, so lesson is that not to come back here ever again.

Good location. Not far from downtown and Hollywood. Hygienic conditions. There is a magical smell in the room. The air conditioning is old-fashioned. The noise is not small. The room is very clean.
Super 8 by Wyndham Hollywood/La Area

Hollywood
The location of the hotel is also not far from the subway station, a five-minute walk, but it is strongly recommended not to take the subway, there are homeless people everywhere, the whole body is dirty and smelly, and it feels very unsafe. The entrance gates of the subway station were vandalized, and many people entered the station without buying a ticket. The hotel is located in the Hollywood district, not far from the Universal Studios, the Chinese Theater, the Mount Hollywood sign and other attractions, and the transportation is convenient. There is a big Target supermarket nearby, Ralph next to the subway station, and a Thai noodle shop. The taste is very authentic. In addition, there is a Japanese-style grocery store, which is cheap and good. The surrounding environment of the hotel is average, there are often homeless people sleeping on the street, and there is trash on the ground. The hotel does not include breakfast, but you can borrow a microwave oven to clean the room every three days. There is heating in the room, so it is more comfortable to open in winter night. The room size is relatively small, with a small refrigerator, coffee machine, hair dryer, no toothbrushes, slippers, etc. The bathroom and floor and wall seem to have been renovated, and look relatively new. Only one elevator can be used by swiping the room card.
