Quality Inn Lone Pine Near Mount Whitney

Nice hotel clean actually has a Breakfast not just muffins. Pam at the front desk was awesome very helpful. Would stay again 👍🏻 the view from the balcony was great. You’re away from town a little which makes it nice.

Nice room, spaceious, good beds and a door letting us go outside from our room! Ok bathroom, but the sink is outside the room? A bit strange? Nice staff. Great view! Did not had any food at this place, but they offered breakfast. Can really recommand to stay here if you are goong to visit Lone Pine.

This is an old roadside motel that could really use tearing down and building anew. The floors creak, ac is noisy, water temperature changes all the time. The rooms facing the road (those with a view of the mountains) are super noisy. Their breakfast is quite pathetic as well. At the same time the bed is comfortable and the staff does an absolutely amazing job with what they have. Thank you Danny for giving us a great room and thank you to housekeeping for keeping it so clean. This may well be one of the best choices in town, just don’t have any delusions about what you’re getting.

Quality inn Lone Pine a bit out of town but pretty much what I expected Roadside Motel easy access and easy enough to drive back into “central” Lone Pine for evening dinner A stopover stay on a long drive, Quality Inn was pretty much what I expected. Air con in room didn’t work so it was very stuffy but room was decent enough Probably overpriced considering remote location Some spectacular views of the mountains in the morning Half decent coffee in reception and then we were on our way I’d say Quality Inn Lone Pine did the job neither good nor bad

I stayed for one night in summer 2022. Excellent location for passing through Death Valley, in fact it is quite close to the west exit or entrance. Very spacious and clean room. Free parking and fairly basic breakfast but something for everyone. In summary it is a very suitable hotel for stopping after or before entering Death Valley.

Over the years, I've stayed at the Quality Inn Lone Pine a number of times and my most recent stay there has made me think about exploring other lodging options in Lone Pine. The property and rooms are nothing special. Quality Inn is merely a place to bed down for the night when you're on the road. My last stay at Quality Inn came after hiking Mt. Whitney. My wife and I got to our room late in the evening and went to bed hungry (in part because the fast food restaurants of Lone Pine close their doors early). In the morning, my wife and I went to the hotel's complimentary breakfast, which is officially billed as being "hot, fresh and healthy." What we found is coffee, cereal and one solitary waffle machine. You could tell the 12 guests who were playing musical chairs around the waffle machine were thinking, "***." A lot of tourists pass through Lone Pine and pit-stop at this hotel. At the complimentary breakfast, I saw Asian and Australian tourists. The Asians actually chose to buy breakfast from the hotel vending machine and the Australian tourist said aloud, "zero stars for me." I travel quite a bit, and I can tell you most hotel chains currently provide many more breakfast food options than a waffle machine. I drank my coffee and waited for my turn at the waffle machine, but in the end I decided I'd rather drive to McDonalds to grab breakfast than fight for the chance tom make my own waffle. The complimentary breakfast at Quality Inn Lone Pine is an epic fail, and overall there's nothing impressive about this hotel to keep them coming back. I submit (backed by the international hotel guests I recently encountered) it be appropriately renamed "Basic Inn."

When making reservations in advance for a vacation, I know there's always a chance of the hotel not being as pictured. I wondered about this small town ( about 2000 people) providing me a good night's rest. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly staff member. He recommended places to eat as well as things to see. He proudly told us the history of this town, and we enjoyed everything he had to share. Room was clean and quiet, and breakfast had a nice choice of items to fill us up.
