The Guardsman - Preferred Hotels and Resorts

London|1.42km from Vauxhall Bridge
Well what can we say! We have been following this new hotel on Instagram and loved the ethos they were promoting. We decided to book for the weekend as a last minute get away ahead of a big celebration after a very rough year. We stay regularly at 5* hotels across London and Europe and don't normally write reviews due to being so busy, however the boutique/intimate feel really caught our attention, we like to feel that as guests we matter, rather than feeling like just another number. We were lucky enough to be the first paying guests visiting the hotel and every single member of the team went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and looked after! (the personal touches did not go unnoticed) The food was lovely and would easily compete with some great London classic restaurants and the team in the restaurant were so hospitable and you could feel the passion they had for what they do. There was a few minor teething issues with the tech in the room, but other than that, we loved our stay so much and have another stay booked for next weekend and we are now also going to book for our Nov & Dec breaks - even though we live 20 mins down the road. One of those breaks where you feel so at home you don't want to leave. Huge shout out once again to the team, we are starting the week the most refreshed we have felt this year We look forward to visiting again next week for our special celebration. xx Mr & Mrs Da Costa

Corbigoe Hotel

I only saw reviews from other people after making a reservation (non-refundable...). After reading the reviews, I decided to go. (Just in case, it is recommended to bring a fly club, towel, toilet paper, slippers, coffee pot, paper cup, etc.) Some hotel rooms are good and some are bad. (Hopefully a good room will be assigned) There are several staff members working in shifts, and some are friendly. It seems that they are trying to remodel little by little (I can understand that it is a cheap accommodation in a very expensive area). Victoria Station/Coach Station is within walking distance (about 10 minutes), and Pimlico Station is 2-5 minutes on foot, and transportation is convenient. When using the bus, number 24 on the road in front of the hotel goes to key tourist areas (Trfalgar Square, Palace, Soho, etc.) If only a good room is assigned, you get used to it and it's good.

The room is nice, comfortable, and the transportation is very convenient. It is suitable for guests who stay for a few days. However, the check-in conditions set on Ctrip are different from the actual check-in method. You must have an email address and ensure that you receive the email. Fill in the form and pay the deposit online to check in. People with problems will not meet and only communicate via phone and email, which leads to too long waiting time for check-in, especially those who do not have a good English or who do not have their own roaming communication equipment. Booking is not recommended , All communication is based on phone and email, in case there is a problem, it is difficult to deal with

The feeling of staying at this hotel for a week is: convenient transportation is the biggest highlight of this hotel. The bus terminal is just two or three minutes away from the subway station. The room was very clean, the breakfast was very rich, and the British style was very strong. The only thing is that the room is a little smaller, there is a window but it can't be opened, it is a bit stuffy, but there is air conditioning, and the ventilation function is not bad. Overall evaluation is good.

The hotel room is huge! The kitchen is very complete! The transportation is also very convenient, very close to the subway station! The London Eye is within walking distance! Although it is next to the station, my room is also very quiet! The breakfast is good and delicious! The staff are also very friendly! The fly in the ointment is that the air-conditioning is not good enough. In winter, I took off my jacket and it was a bit cold in the room. It was okay to sleep under a quilt. This room type does not have a table, only a small coffee table can eat. The check-in time is written at 15:00, noon I checked in directly after 12 o’clock~ I need to pay a deposit of 50 pounds, I can only swipe the card, and I don’t know when I can get it back.

Overall experience Was amazing . Was able to check earlier because my flight got to London in the morning. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was perfect, room was spacious and the view from 17th floor was breathtaking. Got complimentary cake and wine and I loved it..the only issue was the elevator. Had only two elevator and it was always busy and crowded but asides that, I really enjoyed my stay and definitely coming back.
