Well what can we say! We have been following this new hotel on Instagram and loved the ethos they were promoting. We decided to book for the weekend as a last minute get away ahead of a big celebration after a very rough year. We stay regularly at 5* hotels across London and Europe and don't normally write reviews due to being so busy, however the boutique/intimate feel really caught our attention, we like to feel that as guests we matter, rather than feeling like just another number. We were lucky enough to be the first paying guests visiting the hotel and every single member of the team went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and looked after! (the personal touches did not go unnoticed) The food was lovely and would easily compete with some great London classic restaurants and the team in the restaurant were so hospitable and you could feel the passion they had for what they do. There was a few minor teething issues with the tech in the room, but other than that, we loved our stay so much and have another stay booked for next weekend and we are now also going to book for our Nov & Dec breaks - even though we live 20 mins down the road. One of those breaks where you feel so at home you don't want to leave. Huge shout out once again to the team, we are starting the week the most refreshed we have felt this year We look forward to visiting again next week for our special celebration. xx Mr & Mrs Da Costa

Our stay at the Conrad London St. James from March 16th to the 20th was truly amazing! This stately looking luxury hotel is physically located in the heart of London within close proximity to all the wonderful ”must see” attractions. The neighborhood appeared very safe, close to public transportation and if desired, very easy to find taxi service. Staying at this fine hotel allowed us to experience a ”royal stay” from the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted at the front door. Customer service is an obvious priority as set forth from the front desk to their cleaning crew. Their attention to detail rates 5 stars in every way imaginable in my opinion. The entire hotel is immaculate, the staff is professionally trained, extremely pleasant and very efficient. The lounge was wonderful,, the breakfast offered was over the top and the Blue Boar Pub was very comfortable and spacious filled with a happy clientele. An excellent value!!!

The hotel's English butler service is meticulous. The room is a historic British fan. The Executive Lounge offers all-day food and beverages in addition to breakfast. In addition to the charge, the wine is free, and a delicious hot dish is served during dinner. For two nights, I had a free dinner at the hotel, stewed beef, super lame on the lasagna, and the fruit was very fresh. It can be said that it is the most amazing part of the London line. I will choose 41 next time I go to London.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in . From the first moment we arrived till we checked out service unreal . We arrived very early and our room was ready the girls on reception are so efficient and always smiling and always say hello and are there to help with anything we asked. The breakfast was out of this world and again it’s the staff who make it such a joy . Food tasted unreal . There is nothing that anyone could fault about this hotel . Tony on the door so good with people . A special mention to MOHAMOUD he was so efficient and couldn’t do enough for us . He was always smiling and we noticed he was watching his guests all the time to help them with bags or door etc . He will go far in the company . We already booked to come back next year . The hotel is small overall but exquisite and has a century of history. The Queen's badge is hung at the door, which means that the Queen can be served. This badge is also available in London or the Ritz Hotel. 1. The hotel is not 5 minutes from Victoria Station. The Royal Stable Museum is next door. It is only 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace. After visiting Buckingham Palace, you can walk along St. James Park through 10 Downing Street to Big Ben. These attractions All within walking distance. If you want to shop, choose a hotel in the Mayfair area. In addition, three or more colleagues in London recommend UBER, the subway is really expensive. 2. Upon entering the hotel, the bellman was very active to help carry the luggage, and then a special housekeeper would greet him. After the name was determined, he would take the guests to the cafe for check-in, and the drinks were free. 3. The room is relatively large in London. Aparsel is used for toiletries, aerated bottle of mineral water and hilon is used for a normal bottle. These are all royally certified products. The service of turning the night bed is also very attentive. On the bed is a little sheep, a mascot of the hotel, which can be taken away. There will be water on the bed, slippers on the bed, and pajamas on the wardrobe. There is no small refrigerator in the room. I don't know why. 4. If you book a room with breakfast, you can choose to dine in two places of the hotel, one is the hotel's restaurant, here is 1 Michelin star, here is a la carte system, providing full English meals, but dining here is more slow. In addition, if you choose to dine in the cafe, only bread and drinks are provided here, which is suitable for guests in a hurry. In addition to the hotel is not very convenient for shopping, it can be considered perfect, it is worth the experience.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

Good location, right next to Trafalgar Square, next to Tesco express and Macdonald. The hotel room is also large. Friendly service, you can order Chinese food with just eat. The room has a microwave. Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

We've stayed at the hotel before a number of years ago and were a little disappointed that the standards seems to have dropped somewhat. It seems that the staff are mostly quite young and inexperienced, nobody seemed to know 100% what they were doing! We asked about parking (we had a hired car) and were directed to a nearby car park and told to use a code to gain a discount. When we asked for the code on checkout, nobody seemed to know what it was. As it turned out, a code would have been no good to us at all - the car park required a barcode to scan to gain a discount so we had to pay the full 80 pounds for two days parking! OUCH!! We had booked a double room and found that the bed was actually two single beds pushed together and made up separately - it's the first time in over 20 years that my husband and I have slept in separate beds!! I've often seen two singles joined to make a double, but at least they're made up as a double bed! This led to a couple of nights of disjointed and uncomfortable sleep which was unfortunate. The room itself was pretty small, but clean and we were really happy to see the air conditioning was coping well with the heat! The bathroom looked like it could do with a bit of fixing up but it was clean and everything was working reasonably well. The breakfast was functional - cereal, toast, meats, etc and was certainly enough for us. The service though wasn't overly welcoming. We also visited the bar on one evening and we were the only people there. The bar staff seemed really rushed which was weird given we were the only ones there. The price of the two drinks (one wine, one JD & Coke) was almost extortionate - when we looked at our credit card bill the next day, the cost had converted to AUD54!!! I think that was the impression overall - when we visited six years ago, it was a friendly welcoming place with an understated efficiency about everything. That seems to have gone. It seems a pity - the hotel has a great location and it is absolutely beautiful. It is an easy walk into London for restaurants, pubs and attractions and easy to get to the tube station for the touristy things outside the CBD. With a little bit more effort, the hotel could be wonderful. As it is, I'd recommend it for an overnighter but wouldn't want to stay for an extended period.

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved every minute. The staff were amazing, always on hand to help out with a smile and were all so friendly. The bedroom had everything we needed and was modern and clean. Loved the shower and had the best nights sleep with the huge comfy bed and black out blinds. Loved how you could control everything from Tv to temperature all from a pad. The only thing we missed in the room was tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast was perfect, plenty of choice and all very tasty and the dining area was very relaxed, comfy and modern with bright furnishings. The location of the hotel was spot on with everything we wanted to see a short walk away and the tube station round the corner. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back
