This time I stayed with my friends. The hotel lobby is 100% beautiful, and the staff are very wired. When they saw us carrying so much luggage, they came to help immediately. But maybe the hotel has a certain history, so the room facilities are relatively dusty, and the mattress is very hard. I live in a suite, the toilet is very big, but the decoration is not so modern.

I booked this hotel for my husbands 70th birthday and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped inside there was a sense of calm and relaxation. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a deluxe room on the 3rd floor which was very light and airy. The breakfast was exceptional as were all the amenities in the hotel. A plate of small cakes were left in our room, which was a lovely surprise. Check out time was 12 noon which was appreciated as was the early check in time. We had a mini bar in our room and the soft drinks were complimentary. Next time we hope to stay longer. Very central near Marble Arch and Oxford st for shopping but in a quiet area.

The hotel is in a good location, near Hyde Park, near the subway station, and shopping malls nearby. The appearance and lobby of the hotel are relatively new, spacious, rooms and facilities are slightly old, and rooms are slightly smaller. There are disposable slippers, but you have to ask the waiter. Breakfast is very good, pure English style, with self-service freshly squeezed orange juice, hot chocolate, you can ask the waiter, children like it very much, some coffee cups are stained, you have to wipe it yourself. The waiters are fairly friendly and welcoming. After staying for four days, I only saw a Chinese couple. The overall price/performance ratio is okay.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Adore this hotel and always lovely to stay here and meet the friendly staff. Conveniently located near to either Maida Vale tube station (Bakerloo line) or St John's Wood (Jubilee) and a short walk to Abbey Road Studios, ”The Beatles” crossing, Lords Cricket Ground and Regent's Park. Not too far from Hyde Park/Marble Arch/Oxford Street either. Rooms refurbished since I was last here pre-pandemic and it makes such a different to them. Super clean, also comfortable beds and modern showers / bathroom. Bar and Italian restaurant next door integral to the hotel (Carluccios). Can get a glass of wine to take to your room after it's closed if you ask at reception (thank you). Not a great deal immediately around the hotel but if I'm away for work this isn't an issue as Carluccios is good enough. Even if on vacation, it's a short 15 minute taxi ride to Oxford Street. Wonderful breakfast choice in the morning also in Carluccios but run by the hotel staff. Everything you could imagine you would want for breakfast and a big enough space not to have to queue for a table. Seems a safe affluent area (certainly between the hotel and Regent's Park). And a nice old tin church on the walk from Maida Vale to the hotel! USB charging points in the (at least refurbished) rooms. Oh and in the summer on hot days they give you free ice creams!

Disappointed with our stay here, which was supposed to be a Valentine’s getaway. We were given a room in another building over the road in a basement. It was very dark and dingy with no view and a constant generator noise. We were told there were no other rooms available. It was also very cold in the basement and we called reception who came over and told us to give it time to heat up. After about an hour it was still cold so they gave us a fan heater. I think it’s reasonable to expect them to heat up the room prior to guests arriving if they know it’s colder in the basement. I’d just come out of hospital the day before and this was supposed to be a treat. The room was tiny too and the TV is situated on a wall where it can only be seen on one side of the bed. The building is nice to look at and the bathroom was a decent size but overall disappointed.

I asked to change it and offered to pay but the reception ”could not make any changes”. When I asked to speak to the manager at 7pm I was told she finished at 5pm. I asked the reception to phone her which they did, but she refused to speak to me. Genuienly unbelievable This meant that something which could have been resolved in a 5 minute phone call resulted in a canceled booking and staying elsewhere. I would nor recommend this hotel, avoid at all costs until they change their staff.

We booked this hotel for the platinum jubilee and we are so glad we did. Our room was clean and very comfortable and had everything you would need. The communication from the hotel was excellent and the staff were superb. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There is a nice lounge where you can have a minute before setting off for the day. Perfect location as it is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to be in the centre in minutes. Baker Street tube station is only a couple of minutes walk away. There are lots of restaurants and places to eat and drink in the local area. For cakes and coffee I would certainly recommend Gail’s Bakery on Baker Street. Lots of homemade sweet treats and the coffee is wonderful. We will certainly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel with business activities nearby. The location is superb and the front desk can be strengthened because I have to get up early the next day and told the front desk to have a relatively quiet room. An Eastern European lady responded: Madam You are noisy in central London! OK, I said relatively quietly! The result was the room on the side of Marylebone train station. I didn't sleep at all that night, it was quite sour. Thank you in advance to this Eastern European chick! The hotel location is superb, you can walk to Sherlock Holmes's house for a few minutes, Madame Tussauds for a few minutes, and the relative location is very central! The room was clean and tidy.

Location is very well located (5 minutes walk from Bakerstreet, Marylebone and Edgward road stations) which allows you to connect to all London. The accommodation is clean, well equipped with all the necessary as specified in the ad (washing, bed linen, towels, towel, toilet product, washing, coffee maker, boiler, bread grill, etc.). The accommodation is small but very well arranged so perfect for two and the time you want (short or long stay). In the immediate vicinity of many shops and restaurants. I stayed in apartment 3 in the DRC (26m2) - really happy! I will return without hesitation if I travel to London again. Thank you for everything !
