Bentley London

London|0.62km from Fisher Hall
This was our first visit to this hotel. Since most of the cheaper 4 & 5 star hotels seem to have doubled their cheapest rates since Covid The Bentley seemed more reasonable. The reception was a bit disorganised with odd desks dotted around the ground floor but the staff were responsive polite and helpful. They did offer to take my overnight case to the room which I declined. But they shouldn’t of offered they should just have done it. I had reserved a King-sized room but they upgraded me to a suite. This was very nice suite, particularly large for central London. It was all outfitted in a luxurious way. I don’t know what the rate for this room would normally be but for the price I was paying(£359) it was very good value. My 2 main complaints of my stay were: the separate walk-in shower’s thermometer wasn’t working so not possible to use the first night. Very bad. Also, on the deal I booked it included breakfast. My wife and I wanted to have breakfast in our room, expecting to have to pay the ‘tray’ charge of £5 each. When the breakfast didn’t arrive for when ordered the next morning, my wife rang Roomservice. They told us we would have to pay fully to eat in our room. At this point I would normally have spoken to the manager and asked him what on earth was going on. But as luck would have it I was running late for a medical appointment and didn’t have the time. So we just cancelled breakfast and left with a bitter taste of being short changed 2 breakfasts. Conclusion-not sure, to be honest. Will possibly try again/

The Bailey's Hotel London Kensington

London|0.65km from Fisher Hall
To start, when booking a hotel I always critically read the reviews and research the area. Additionally, a relative stayed at this hotel about six years ago and liked it. The hotel is in a wonderful area. It is next to a tube station and just a short walk to wonderful museums. The area feels safe and not crowded with tourists. Now for the things that I did not like. Upon arrival at 10 AM, the Front desk told me that my reservtion had been canceled. I showed them my confirmtion, but they said it was canceled. So much for asking for an early check in. I had to call the reservation's number and the woman on the line quickly found my reservation. However, the Front desk now said that I should come back at 1500 to check in. My wife, exhausted from a overnight flight sat down and fell asleep on the lobby couch. Perhaps this was a sore sight, because now they found a room for us by 1100. The room felt smaller than what was stated for a Deluxe Double. The bathroom was small but clean although the toilet seat was loose and we had to continually readjust the postion. The refrigerator was not working. We informed the desk the next day, but it was not repaired or replaced until that evening when we called the front desk again, and the night manager himself came to fix it. I feel that all these forementioned issues are tolerable except for what I felt was the UNCLEANLINESS of the room. The dark carpet has numerous visible stains and it just felt dirty when walked on with bare feet. There were dark smudges and even a spot of dried blood on the bathroom door that were not attended to by the housekeeping staff. I have attaced a photo of this. The room was dusty and I had to wipe surfaces with a damp cloth every day during our five night stay. During our stay, not once did I hear hear or see a vacuum cleaner. In all, except for a great location, I was very happy to leave upon check out.

Blakes Hotel London

The experience was quite bad: 1. The parking in the hotel introduction was free, the scene said no, after Ctrip communicated, Ctrip took the loss; 2. After the check-out, the hotel deducted more than 5,000 yuan on my card, and contacted Ctrip. The hotel does not recognize this operation, Ctrip refunds itself; 3, the hotel hardware is OK, but the overall atmosphere is awkward, a bit of a night hotel taste, and the son is eating dinner in the downstairs restaurant, next to a pair of men and women Kind of KIss, if you are traveling with friends, don't choose them. Like Ctrip customer service, you can still solve the problem.

i did read some reviews before i booked so didnt have massively high expectations but it was ok all things considered, given i dont have overly high standards. for the price and location you arent going to get much better and we wanted twin sleeping options there wasnt much about at that price. room does need a revamp as the paint was looking shabby and starting to crack. they had forgotten to clean the dust of the fan in the kitchen. bathroom though was clean enough and shower was ok. kitchen is ok for a short stay but it doesnt have an awful lot of utensils so you wouldnt be able to cook an awful lot, plus had to go out and buy washing up liquid and dishcloths etc to wash up, but its fine for making tea/sandwiches etc. despite advertising sofa bed no bed lined provided for this, but given the heating was ramped up (fine given the temperature outside, it was freezing) this wasnt a problem. room key failed each of the 3 nights getting back in, staff were pleasant enough but seemed to accept that this happened regularly. secure bag storage is available which was good. well located only few mins walk from gloucester rd and south kensington tube stations and wide range of facilities close by, shops, pubs, restaurants etc, plus its not long to get into central london and walkable if you fancied it. beds where comfortable enough and nice to have a sofa to sit on properly. given its london and we werent really in the room much anyway, it was fine didnt really need luxury

Located in south Kensington and the circumstance is sooo nice, white architecture with excellent greenery. The room is clean and comfortable. You can also have some featured restaurants near the hotel. Actually I left my cloth in the closet of the hotel and I found that when I went back home. So I contacted the hotel butler of the Xiecheng. And he helped me a lot that the reception manager would post the cloth to me. I’m satisfied with the service

Breakfast is very good, you can order it yourself, for free. The service is very good and the location is good. It is close to the Natural History Museum and it takes half an hour to reach Hyde Park and Harrods. The room was too small and the suitcase could not be placed. The bathroom is also small. These do not match the five stars!

I booked a one night stay with dinner as part of a mini break with my husband using our BuyAGift voucher. Due to the Queen's funeral our daytime activities had been cancelled therefore I contacted the hotel to request a date change. This hotel is the worst I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, a total NIGHTMARE! The reception staff are so rude and have zero customer service skills and their 'manager' has yet to call me to move the date. I doubt they ever will. However probably for the best as I have since read the reviews on here and between poor hygiene, used condoms etc (the list goes on), I'm quite glad we didn't stay. Hotel is a total scam, just read the hundreds of bad reviews. I'm very upset this hotel is falsely advertised as a '4 star' hotel which is anything but a 4 star and seems to be a health and safety hazard. I have wasted my voucher and £137 I will never get back. Also to top it off, according to other recent reviews their kitchen isn't open therefore the advertised dinner as part of the package probably wasn't going to happen. Judging by reviews of others breakfast is shop bought pastries and possibly some toast depending on whether the toaster is working. Only good thing that happened was I realised before we went and therefore slept peacefully that night in clean sheets at home. Do NOT recommend.

When my child left the hotel, I complained that I stayed at the hotel entrance because she felt that she had no face when she let others know that we were guests of this hotel. Even the children feel that it is shameful to live here, and the conditions of the hotel are limited. The facade of the hotel is only two or three meters wide, all rooms use a staircase, and it is a vertical one. There was no restaurant, so breakfast had to be delivered to the door of the room, only two slices of bread, one boiled egg, jam and butter, a cup of tea or coffee. My biggest concern is the fire problem. Once the low-rise room is on fire, the upstairs tenants are hard to escape because there is only one narrow and steep staircase.
