Hyatt Place Chicago Lombard Oak Brook

Room smelled and was not clean.

I was in town for a dance competition so the hotel was booked. But that did not matter to the staff, the place was very clean; always saw staff cleaning everywhere even the lobby. The breakfast was always full of food, drinks and water and food was hot. Mercy, she covered the front desk was so helpful. She was able to help me with questions about places in the area. She helped me order food to my room. My daughter would stop downstairs to purchase snacks and my daughter would come back up saying how nice and caring she was. Mercy was working late nights and early mornings, but that never affected her. She was nice, big smile. I will definitely come back to it this hotel because of the great staff. They were even asking my daughter how her dancing went! There was also a security guard on duty in the hotel! Felt very safe. Thank you!

The menu was fresh I just think the quality should have been better, the orange juice wasn’t orange juice it was some kind of orange drink mix. Only plain bagels were served.

I recently stayed at a Hyatt Place and had a very mixed experience. Upon arrival, the lobby was beautiful and welcoming, and the woman who checked me in was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated after traveling. However, the elevators took an extremely long time, which quickly became frustrating -especially with kids. When we first entered our room, I was happy with it. It seemed clean and comfortable at first glance. But once we settled in, I started noticing things that made me uncomfortable. There were dried drips of some kind of liquid on the room door that I didn't catch right away. The next morning, when the sunlight came in, it made everything more visible-and honestly, it was pretty disgusting, especially since I had my small children with me. Thankfully, I had brought antibacterial wipes. On the second night, we went to the pool, which was another disappointing experience. It didn't seem like any rules were being enforced. There were children without adult supervision, fighting, using inappropriate language, and running wild. One child was even playing on the handicap chair, which was concerning and unsafe. Later that night, after returning to the room, I noticed a large buildup of dirt and grime along the shower door while cleaning up water from the floor. It was pretty gross and made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. On a positive note, the breakfast was a nice addition and my kids really enjoyed it. This was a phenomenal hotel they had done all to the pinnacle of great service breakfast was amazing front counter service was great as well everyone was very friendly sad to say i didnt get the chance to go to the pool but when i return i will experience it. The location was also very convenient great restaurants around good sight seeing. Thank you Hyatt Place for a great experience hope to enjoy your service very soon.

I received a $150 charge on my account and just figured that it was a deposit. The charge then went down to $111 and I decided to call because it never dropped off. I was informed that that was a pet cleaning fee. We are local and would have never stood there if we were informed about the fee. I have a 40 pound dog who stood curled up in the corner because she was afraid of the thunderstorm. Had I brought her in the side door, no one would have even known she was there. Every other hotel that I have taken my dog to, simply charges the $50 deposit and refunds it when they see that the dog did not make a mess. I stood at the Hyatt because my boyfriend was in town from college and his family lives in Villa park. We stay at the Hampton Inn in itasca, all the time, with no fee. When I called today, the woman that I spoke to, merely said she would talk to the manager about training the staff to make sure that they let the customer know of the charge. She also said that the fee is $100 whether you stay for a day or a week. I checked in at 6:30 pm and checked out at 10:30am, the next day. That comment was just like a smack in the face.

Bad smell in the room We booked a room for a high level, it was raining that day and we came back to the room with a leak in the wasgroom ceiling from the rain. They changed the room for us for a lower level. This was very inconvenient with have to move all of our stuff with 3 children. It rains and snows quite a bit in this area, this issue should not happen I can tell from the smell in the room. When I called to complain the immediate descent it's from the rain and they didn't even come and check the leak which tells me they knew about this issue. The breakfast buffet is very limited in comparison to other hotels we stayed in the area previous years. They don't have hand lotion in the rooms. We were very disappointed with the overall quality for the money we paid. I would never book here again.

Enjoyed our stay and great location. Some children running in hallways but stopped about 10pm. I wish the coffee and tea was available 24/7. Staff were wonderful.

Water was leaking under sink. Car alarm was going off all first night. We had a vacation for a long time and it was really ruined us. Do whatever you can To off set this.
