Ibis Locarno

disappointed this time, even though ibis as a brand is highly regarded in the world, this particular location does not live up to the high standards. wrong is everything, hidden entrance, alcohol in the lobby, combined reception , cashier and beer counter. it comes as no surprise that employees are not paying a full attention to the guests. teenagers roaming the corridors,partying a group of 10 in a room, no problem ,let's wait until its night and someone complains. oh its night already, no problem we are busy. well I'm busy too, the next day I have a meeting and not a party, sorry, but I will be careful around tessin what hotel I'm checking into.

Giving this a 3 because the air conditioner didn’t work and staff only gave us a bottle of cold water. This is an important issue during warmer times and it disturbed our sleep. Other than that, a fun hotel very walkable to the waterfront, station, Grand Piazza. Bus to Ascona is right outside and free with Ticino visitor card. Satisfying breakfast. A good Ibis hotel.

Functional but not more A liitle worn down and the room was rather unpleasant. May be a function of the price, ebven though is was not cheap at all-.

Vacation. June 2025 Good location, but I expected shorter walk to the most interesting places

Nice place, very friendly staff, very helpful with parking space, breakfast ok.
