The hotel has two restaurants -fine dining and informal- also caters for private parties. Imaginative food is prepared from fresh local produce and complemented by a fine selection of wines.
Bodysgallen Health and Fitness Spa has been converted from the original stone built farm. It contains a large swimming pool-spa bath-steam room-sauna-relaxation areas and club room where meals and drinks are served. The superb gymnasium has all the latest equipment and fully qualified fitness instructors are on duty. The Spa also has five beauty salons with qualified therapists providing the latest treatments using Decleor - Jessica - XenTan and CACI products.
Beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs - walled rose garden - kitchen garden and several follies.

Very disappointed..... especially considering the price!!!! Outdated, shabby hotel. Yellow stained headrest and bathroom with mold. Swimming pool is falling apart with kids diving in for loose tiles. Very shabby. The restaurant on site very strict with a dress code... we had to laugh as it definitely didn't go with the overall quality of the hotel. Nice views and picturesque area and gardens but definitely not worth the money. Please avoid. We paid£420 ... no breakfast. Big mistake

Once again a lovely stay at the Bodysgallen hall. The hall was resplendent in traditional xmas decorations with roaring fires in many common areas. We stayed in a superior king room with views over frosty winter grounds. Staff were attentive and all needs were met promptly. Fortunately our stay coincided with the Spa Christmas party and lots of glasses of bubbly were had. Special mention to Dion, the antipodean sales assistant, who was able to show me the variety of skincare products on offer at the event. Left with many presents for the family (and myself).

A lovely welsh afternoon tea. Fresh variety of sandwiches, warm fruit and plain scones, and selection of cakes. Strawberry jam was not homemade. Attentive staff. WiFi did not reach where we we served, unfortunately

Beautiful place & really pleasant staff. We had afternoon tea in the Library & the whole experience was fantastic. We were looked after so well by the staff & the food was delicious! Highly recommended!

Superb service - and my thanks to all staff from the moment we arrived to the time we left after breakfast. A lovely large room and well cooked and presented food, although the menu could have been wider. The grounds were not like a usual National Trust Garden in the sense that much of it was bordering on the wild but we had an interesting chat with the gardener and felt very relaxed wandering through the grounds. A useful experience in trying out a 3 rosette hotel.

We stayed in one of the cottages. It was very cute. It was a little cold in there, and if I had a minor complaint, it would be the (lack of) ventilation. But the cottage itself was quaint. The bathroom was small. It had its own gorgeous garden. The hotel staff were great. The food was nice, wine was delicious. The location was brilliant. It’s so beautiful - the gardens and woodland even at this autumnal time of the year. It was expensive though. The spa was good. All in all a good ‘escape to the countryside’. Bonus - Got a free ticket to Conwy castle.

This truly old-fashioned and elegant hotel reminded me of the type of hotel I used to stay in with my parents 60 years ago. It has some lovely suites with great views over the River Conway estuary and the extensive gardens are splendid; a trip up to the watchower is recommended. There are a myriad of small lounges where you can hide away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the service was good. The only thing that prevented me from awarding the hotel five stars was the quality of the food/cooking at dinner time. If the experience wasn't portayed as 'fine-dining' I perhaps wouldn't be so critical, but it doesn't quite make the grade, albeit we had just eaten at two Michelin starred establishments earlier in the week. If the kitchen could just up its game a wee bit, we would love to return, because everything else is so perfect - even if it means charging a little more for the experience.
