Very nice hotel, well placed to explore the beautiful Wye Valley. Spent 3 nights there, very comfortable room, food excellent . The staff are second to none, never met a more accommodating group of people, I cannot praise them enough. I have no hesitation in recommending the Gle Yr Afon

Just got back from an amazing weekend at the Glen yr Afon,firstly a big thank you to all the staff who are really friendly and can't do enough to ensure your stay is a good experience. Next the food oh my fresh tasty and more. Rooms clean and comfortable Excellent wedding venue Big thanks from Denise and Andrew the tomato soup is out of this world best ever

We had our wedding here a few days and it was the perfect day from start to finish. The staff made sure the bridal suite was ready for us to start getting ready in and Carol was there to guide us with every step of the planning and on the day - making sure it ran smoothly. The venue it self was beautiful, we had our ceremony and meal in the Library which was decorated so well and the Christmas decorations made it so cosy! The staff serving us our meals and drinks in the evening were fantastic, and attentive making sure we had everything we needed. The food was stunning and everybody loved it - portions were generous and it was served piping hot. We had the best full English the next morning again which was lush! I’d reccomend anyone thinking of having a wedding , or especially a small one like we did to have it here as it was just perfect. Couldn’t fault the day. Thank you so much!! Love from the new Mr and Mrs Taylor 🧡

Me and my new wife had our wedding here in November 24’. We had a lovely autumn themed wedding with lots of burnt orange and nice autumn colours. The whole day went like a dream, from the staff to the room changes everything went like clock work. The staff were always on hand to help wherever needed and to guide us through it. A special shoutout to our wedding coordinator Carol. She put up with my changes and daft questions the whole year in planning. I had a lot of good reviews from our guests for the dinner that was served which was delicious. The rooms were lovely and clean, even though I didn’t sleep much because of the nerves. Another shout out to the DJ of the night Darren Tipples. He played absolute bangers and had everyone in the evening on the dance floor. The day after the wedding he had an award for best wedding DJ in Wales and I now know why. Just to finish off, if you are planning on getting married at this venue you will not be disappointed and I thoroughly recommend you do it.

We recently had our wedding at Glen yr Afon. All I can say is everything was perfect. From day one, viewing the venue to the final day. Carol the wedding organiser is fantastic at her job and the staff were exceptional. Food was amazing some of the best I've had. There is not one negative I have to say about my experience. A perfect day and perfect venue!

We recently celebrated our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience at this stunning venue. Everything was simply beyond what we had imagined! The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was magical, and the staff were incredibly attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The venue’s charm and elegance made it the ideal location for our special day. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful surroundings, and the day flowed smoothly from start to finish. From the stunning ceremony space to the reception area, every part of the venue played a role in making our wedding unforgettable. A special thank you to Carol, the wedding coordinator, whose calm presence and attention to detail helped bring everything together seamlessly. We are so grateful for the memories made here and couldn’t recommend this venue enough for anyone planning a wedding or event!

Each October 50+ Blokes from Chipping Campden Men's Keep Fit choose a location for some Golf, Rambling, Cycling and a little Beer Drinking. This year most of the large group were lucky enough to spend either three or two nights in this lovely Hotel. No complaints whatsoever - Rooms are beautifully appointed and cosy, Breakfasts are generous and brought to the table by smiling and courteous staff. The location in Usk is ideal - quiet but just minutes from this charming town that has characterful pubs and friendly residents. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and extend our thanks to the staff who probably didn't know what to expect from our 'invasion'

Beautiful hotel , more than attentive staff and a delightful wedding venue . General Manager Tim works hard in pleasing his guests as do all his staff. Special thanks must be given to Sulthan a true gentleman , great conversationalist and excellent host .
