The Art Inn Lisbon

The hotel boasts a prime location for exploring key landmarks in Lisbon. The breakfast on the rooftop is delightful, offering a spectacular view. The only drawbacks preventing a 5-star rating are the abundance of stairs to climb and potential noise disturbance from the rooftop bar, which could affect the tranquility of the hotel. Apart from that, everything else was fantastic, the room was well-equipped and comfortable!

The hotel is very unique. I loved the boutique feel and you could not beat the location in the heart of the city, near Rossio station and bunch of bars, restaurants, squares and even close to the water. The staff was friendly and helpful with our luggage. Please note, you will primarily be taking the stairs all the way up to your room, but there is one small elevator, mostly to transport luggage between the 1st and 4th floor. We enjoyed our stay in Suite 402, which had a King and twin bed, with small kitchenette. I thought it was spacious by European standards and the AC worked great, but the beds were a little hard and the bathroom floor was noisy (squeak, crack, squeak wherever you walked). The rooftop bar has music going every night until 10:30-10:45 pm, so if you want to go to bed sooner than that, that could be an issue. It didn't matter much to us as we didn't go to bed prior to that, but could hear it from the room. We enjoyed the option of the rooftop bar. Had breakfast there one day (I didn't realize it was included) and it was just ok, but the convenience was worth it. As a vegetarian I had fruit and toast, but didn't expect a big spread as it's a small place. We also took a mid-day siesta on the rooftop once to get off our feet and then had drinks and apps there another night, so it's a great option to have with a nice view of the city. Would definitely stay there again for the location and convenience factor.

The Art Inn was the perfect hotel for our girls trip. The rooms were spacious and clean. Location is excellent. The Rooftop Bar is a fabulous feature of the hotel with great views and lovely drinks! The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend the hotel to others looking for a great spot to stay in Lisbon.

Overall our stay was great. The location felt close to everything, the room was clean and spacious, the self service breakfast was well stocked and the staff were very helpful. There were quite a few stairs to get through to get to the room which was fine for us and not a problem. The lift was very slow and was used a couple of times by our youngest boy to annoy us by having to wait for him 😅. The only small issue we had was that we requested an early check out breakfast box that never arrived - we did survive though 😉.

Check-in with Gabriel was very efficient and helpful with luggage up to my room and advising area information, etc. Rooftop view was fabulous. Elevator hardly moved so worthless using especially after a long day touring and walking up hills and a gazillion steps. Rooms were very modern, spacious and clean. Rooftop waiters are excellent but food choices are lacking after a long day of touring. Location is excellent and near all sights and restaurants, etc. However, not sure it's a hotel or nightclub. Very loud live music just outside the alley along with speakers/amps and public access to rooftop bar until 1:00am so plan on getting limited to no sleep. Breakfast or reception doesn't open until 7:30am so plan on getting pre-tour breakfast elsewhere. The most stressful was day of departure and no one to assist with luggage as I advised the day before my requested time by 7:30am I needed. No chat or front desk service was available so I frantically waited until Leo appeared about 7:35am asking if I wanted coffee???. Unacceptable adding the stress and making me late for my tour. Seems to be a huge communication gap as another tour I cancelled weeks before they kept sending me reminders. I do understand how a small operation operates but travelers need assurance their needs are top of mind unless booking an Airbnb or self sufficient room.

The hotel is very well located, in the main centre of the town. It has a series of stairs to reach the floor, but we were informed of this, so no surprise. The elevator reaches the 4th floor from where you can easily take few more steps to go to the 3rd or to the 5th floor. The only problem is that it is veeeeeeery slow and hosts 1 person per time. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is good. The birthday package we ordered was a bit disappointing. Also the RoofTop bar did not accept the 10% discount voucher we received during the online check-in: I would recommend more alignment between the bar and the hotel. The hairdryer of our room worked for no more than 2 minutes. Impossible to dry long hair.

What a wonderful experience we had at the Art Inn! The staff was friendly, accommodating and very helpful in helping guide us to through the city. The location is excellent, and the rooftop bar was lovely for meals with views of the neighborhood all around. The decor is funky, stylish, tastefully done, rooms are comfortable and very clean. The hotel owner was a pleasure to chat with and went above and beyond helping us with transport to the airport. Overall, a very memorable stay at a fantastic hotel.

The rootop bar was a real highlight with a fantastic view of the City. We had a couple of wonderful meals there and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast is also served there, so more opportunities to enjoy the view - there are not many rooftop bars in Lisbon. Yes, there are lots of steps, but you can use the elevator to help with luggage, and staff will help too. We were on the 5th floor and it wasn't a problem as we were out all day, and there are lots of steps/hills in Lisbon! The hotel location is brilliant, being a few minutes walk from Rossio and easily reached from the Airport. Lovely sized room and the bed was super comfortable. I thought this was great value for money bearing in mind the central location. We would definitely return :)!

We loved our stay at the art in! It was central to many things to walk to such as a Rossio Square, the elevator, and the commercio Square by the river port. We enjoyed the hotel very much! We certainly do appreciate the help with our luggage being taken to our fifth floor room. we did have to plan each day when we left the room to make sure to pack up everything we needed! We did not want to have to climb the stairs back to our room for something forgotten! The Buffet breakfast was plenty with many selections. The gourmet, coffee machine was superb! The staff, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The rooftop experience was beautiful!
