Hotels with Bars in Lindau

We spent one night at this hotel as it was conveniently situated to a big cultural event in Bregenz. Check in was good, adequate free of charge parking, room and bathroom size good and clean. The problem was the bad organisation of breakfast the following morning. The hotel was fully booked which meant 188 guests trying to have breakfast between 8 and 10. Breakfast is served from 7.30 a.m. but I guess since most of the guests would not have returned before 11:30 p.m. few would have been at breakfast before nine. When we walked in to the breakfast room at 9 it was packed. Some even occupying the last places at the bar. Two coffee machines for this crowd and people were queuing everywhere. To get hot water I had to queue behind five people getting two cups of coffee each. Why not leave a thermos of hot water or two thermos cans of coffee. Some in line first had to figure out how to operate the coffee machine leading to more delay. One irate guest was complaining loud to the receptionist to do something and he replied calmly that he would pass it on to the responsible person in the hotel. All this just before the check out time at 10 a.m. and the breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:30 a.m. Go figure ! I am really surprised that the hotel didn’t have a better plan for breakfast considering that this is an annual event and one would think that the hotel management would have enough foresight to develop a better breakfast arrangement. Shame because I would have given four points because the rest of the hotel was good. May be one should avoid the months of July and August.

The location is very good, just a minute walk from Lake Constance. The hotel is small, but the details are very well furnished and comfortable. If you drive yourself, you can park your car at the door to unload your luggage. The front desk will give a parking card to the nearby parking lot. In fact, it is very close, 8 Euro per day.

This is too biased. We arrived in the evening, and after seeing the waiter registration, we will not see one person! Quiet to some panic!
