DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln

It was the hottest day of the year ( so far) and we were kindly given a warmed chocolate cookie on check in. A chilled bottle of water may have been more appropriate! Tried to take the stairs, we were on 2nd floor, but stairs only took us to the mezzanine ~ complete lack of clear signage as to where the stairs were located. However, room was perfectly cooled with aircon on auto setting. Bed comfortable and pillows simply the best I've had in an hotel on years.. slept so well.

Nice hotel in the centre with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, bed was very comfortable!! Room had lots of toiletries, beverages etc in the room and shower was good! The only thing was the room was cold I the morning and I had to get dressed to get warm! Would stay here again!

Good location by the riverside where we can enjoy drinks.  The air conditioner in the room is just fine and we can hardly adjust it to our wish.  We enjoy much the view from the breakfast room.

Friendly staff, fantastic location,...the air conditioning did a constant loud buzzing non stop....even when switched off....and every few hours the TV would turn on for a feed seconds......so no sleep basically,did report it but was told ...o'dear sorry to hear that...that was it .....shall not be returning

Hotel in central location. Duvets were very thin. I felt cold, even when turning heating up. Bathroom had no magnifying mirror, and in need of renovations. Only 1room had bathrobes, which were very thin. Rooms were dark, with view of brick wall. Pigeons were noisy, and outside window sills were covered in their excrement. Bar on top floor bit grubby.

The room was nice, although some features were faulty/on the verge of breaking, such as a light switch, and the bathroom toilet roll holder. Although, they were doing some rooms up.

Staff was pleasant, room was absolutely clean. The overall stay was nice.

Arrived in the first room to find what looked blood on the floor in the room. Promptly changed via reception. Air conditioning on our floor was broken and fixed on the second day but a bad night due to hitting 26 degrees in the room and an extremely hard and uncomfortable bed New topper fitted and a sheet and fan left by housekeeping made for a better second night's sleep. The new room had a bouncy floor in the bathroom due to the grouting being broken and missing letting water in. Both rooms had sinks that where crazy cracked and with black in the cracks Shower leaked on the hose Some channels not available on the free view tv Power cables where exposed on the wall lights Corridor carpets are tired and dirty with lots of black marks and bleach spots from housekeeping The window in the rooms where tiny and the room lighting is quite poor Breakfast was fine usual continental and fried available With fruit yoghurt lovely view of lincon Enjoyed the stay once the room was sorted and changed But I did expect better and would have preferred not to have complained
