Hotels near Capitán Manuel Galindo Park, Lima

I liked the attention of the receptionists since they gave me a lot of support to go to tourist places and ask me for a safe taxi all the time at a good price, I hope to return next year with my wife and be able to continue seeing that good attention

The hotel is right opposite the airport. Since I had to catch a flight the next day, I chose a hotel close to the airport! Eating and drinking is convenient, and the hotel environment is also very good! It’s just that it’s quite far from the city, and the traffic in Lima is quite congested!

Martin is very kind and helpful. A clean and basic place to stay before continuing to next cities in Peru. Location is good, short walk to big supermarket and money changers. Very safe location as the neighbourhood is under cctv

This is not a 5 star hotel experience. Clearly the rooms need some modernisation. There is for example only fans and no temperature control air con. Our bedroom only had one bedside table. When we changed rooms things didn’t work and we had to get them fixed. However staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was a good sized wardrobe and shower. We had lounge access which was a much smaller area than we are used to and served a very limited food and beverage selection, however Oscar was a great host and did everything possible to make our experience better. We went to the gym but a lot of the equipment was faulty. It is limited but one treadmill out of the three had a non functioning ramp. All of the cross trainers were not working properly. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was average but again friendly staff. Thank you also to Clara who realised our experience had not been great.

The hotel itself is not 7 stars, but it is the people who work there who makes it such a nice place. Didn’t have a bad experience here, my wife and I happened to be in Peru for a funeral and I had a health issue due to the emotional stress. Santiago from the reception was prompt to call the ambulance and they could fix the situation. Also when friends and family came to visit, I befriended waiter Carlos Abanto, very good guy, he deserves all the compliments, super professional. Because of people like them I plan to come back. Also Zarai Chileno (waitress) was nice and Jose the guy who used to clean my room. With this staff and location I assure you a lot of returning business and many good years to come. Very good very nice hotel, very clean and very good service. In the wealthy area, law and order is also very good. However, if there are Chinese customers, it is recommended to add one meter or one pasta to the breakfast. Always say a very high experience

Reservé 2 habitaciones standard para año nuevo 2024, una con cama matrimonial para mi hijo y para mí, y la otra con 2 camas. Y al momento de la reserva especifiqué que necesitaba que estén una al lado de la otra, o exactamente al frente. Cuando hice check in, fuimos a las habitaciones y la mía era cama doble y encima no estaban al frente, felizmente la señora de recepción pudo solucionar pero estuvimos bastante rato esperando. Luego, a las 5y30pm aprox llamo a Room Service para pedir la cena de mi hijo, me contesta un chico y me toma el pedido. Pasa 1 HORA, llamo para saber cuánto más iba a demorar y un señor de restaurante de muy mala manera me dice que no tiene ningún pedido y que no era su problema porque él acababa de entrar a turno. Me pareció una pésima atención y pésima forma de resolver un problema. Obviamente tuve que volver a hacer el pedido y esperar más, pero dejó mucho que desear la respuesta de su personal del restaurante e hizo que me amargue el momento. Finalmente, en recepción a la hora del check in preguntamos si Room Service atendería normal hasta las 11pm, nos dijo que sí. Cuando nos fueron a dejar la comida de mi hijo, volví a preguntar al mozo y me dijo que ya no tomaban pedidos porque estaban con la cena buffet. Entonces nos iban a dejar sin cena a mi familia y a mí, ya que al estar con un niño pequeño él ya iba a dormir y yo no iba a poder salir al restaurante. Después de insistir, accedió a tomarnos el pedido pero tenía que ser en ese momento (siendo 7pm, comida llegó 7y20) y lamentablemente tuve que cenar comida fría ya que recién pude hacerlo después de dormir a mi hijo a las 8y30pm aprox. Realmente no volvería al hotel por tener tantas malas experiencias en 1 solo día de estadía.

This is my second use of Hotel Diamond. In my first review I regarded it as ”exceptional,” and there is no change in that evaluation! Another great stay. Since my 2021 visit, they have opened up a breakfast buffet on the fourth floor (complimentary). It's excellent. And the view . . . the only place I know of where you can get a glimpse of two grand colonial courtyards (of convents/monasteries), along with a wonderful cluster of colonial church domes. Just a great hotel--friendly staff, efficient and well-cared for, updated rooms, superb location. A winner of winners!
