I've stayed in many hotels and hostels before, and I was really looking forward to my trip to Lijiang. I even stayed at a Backpackers' Ten Years hostel in Xiamen previously, so I confidently booked three nights here. However, this trip to Lijiang taught me a harsh lesson: never casually use hotel towels, and always check if the bedsheets are clean. I broke out in red bumps all over my body, too many to count. In the middle of summer, there were a lot of mosquitoes, so I initially thought it was mosquito bites. I asked the front desk for mosquito repellent, but they didn't have any, and there was no air conditioning either. It wasn't until I went to the hospital that I found out it was due to unsanitary hotel supplies. Thumbs down.

Fantastic hostel! They have an incredibly cute and well-behaved dog. The yard is also very clean and tidy. From the third-floor terrace, you can see Yulong Snow Mountain, and it's super comfortable just to relax at the hostel on a good weather day. Loved it, will definitely be back!

Definitely a vibe staying here. Wanna go hiking to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Just have a seat and chat around. You will definitely find someone of ghue will help you. You will be approached if you want to join them.

This is my second stay at Backpacker's, and Lijiang Backpacker's is still lively, but the facilities are a bit old and not well-maintained. The cleanliness of room A24 was a bit subpar. However, what really stood out was the excellent service at the front desk. Big Wang (Dawang) deserves a high rating; he was great at engaging with guests, playing Werewolf with us, chatting, and recommending nearby food. It was a very good experience overall.

The location is great, really close to the ancient city, and there are tons of food options nearby. The room is spacious, and there's plenty of common area, so you can easily hang out and chat with other guests even if you don't go out. I stayed for three nights and would definitely come back if I get the chance!

Met a lot of friends at Backpackers Ten Years in Lijiang. Next time I'm hiking, I'll definitely choose this place again. The only downsides were the very poor phone signal and non-existent Wi-Fi in the room, even though I was in a four-person dorm on the first floor (they must've upgraded me, haha!). Also, the gap between the mattress and the wall was quite dirty. But overall, the hostel atmosphere was fantastic – easily the best I've experienced. See you in a few months!

I found the room to be exceptionally good, very clean, and completely odor-free. The restrooms and shower areas were cleaned daily. The location is absolutely fantastic, and I loved it. I really hope to stay here again on my next visit and will definitely recommend it to more people. It's just so convenient and efficient. The location here is excellent. I especially want to commend them for their 'no loud noises after 11 PM' policy and for ensuring a quiet environment overall – they do a superb job with that.

This hostel is a true gem! The owner is incredibly warm and thoughtful, the common areas are clean and cozy, and it's so much fun meeting and chatting with people from all walks of life. The bedding is tidy and comfortable, and the value for money is outstanding. Highly recommend!

The price isn't the cheapest for a hostel, but it's worth it for the quiet location. Plus, they actually have an oxygen tank sharing program! If you need one, you can ask the front desk to use one left by previous guests. And if you bought one and didn't use it, you can leave it for future travelers. The atmosphere is fantastic, with organized activities every day, and a golden retriever hanging out on the first floor. The only downside is that the second-floor hallway is open-air, and the hair dryer and showers are in separate areas. So, after showering, make sure to bundle up to avoid catching a cold, as the day-night temperature difference can be quite significant.
