Walking down from the parking lot of Baoshan Stone Town, Shicheng Inn is the first inn I passed by, right next to the platform where the locals dance every night. The inn has just finished its renovation recently. Walking in is a small courtyard and a place to eat. The rooms are on the second floor. The double room is booked. The room is a bit small. It simply puts a big bed and a bedside table. The room has a separate toilet, a toilet and a shower, which are solar powered. The room is quite clean, with sockets above the bedside tables. There is a small terrace on the second floor with tables and chairs, so you can sit and sit. The inn has WIFI, but I am not connected and I have been using my own data. The network in the village is unstable. The telecommunications only has 3G and the network speed is slow. There is a small shop in the inn, it is very convenient to buy some food and drink. And there is the only restaurant in the village that is open to the outside world, even if you are not the guests who live here, you can eat here, and the prices are fair and affordable. The proprietress Mu Jie and her husband are both from the village, and they are both nice and enthusiastic. When you come to Stone Town, you should stay at least one night, spend a day, stroll around the village, you can walk along the plank road to the Jinsha River. It's not a chartered car or self-driving. You can only take a ride in the village. They are basically trucks or vans. You can contact Ms. Mu a few days in advance and ask her to make arrangements for you. For an in-depth tour, Stone Town is definitely worth a visit.

An amazing hotel in the ancient stone village of Baoshan. Getting there is an adventure and you need to walk the last 800m - you can get a donkey to carry your luggage if you have big bags. The room was beautiful with amazing views (see pictures). Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The two ladies working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple and plentiful and we enjoyed the dinner too - fresh cooked local food. An amazing stay in a unique location
