Not worth the aggravation or your money! Unless they do a clean sweep at the front desk and make sure they treat all guest as a priority I wouldn’t bother. Unprofessional and need race relations training. Only valuable employee is the night auditor which is a very nice Latina woman. She broker her neck to make sure I was taken care of. The others could care less about my comfort at that hotel. When I got of the elevator each morning they would turn their heads and not speak. I cut my stay and move to a luxury corporate lodging apartment.

The service is really great here as well as the cleanliness. The room is really spacious, it does not feel cramp like other motels/ hotels I have been to. Another thing I liked about this place is that on the third floor there is a guest laundry room where you go use the machines for a certain amount of quarters and you have to bring your own detergent. Because of COVID-19 they serve breakfast in paper bags which are available in between 6 - 9AM, said breakfast is a banana, bottle of water, and a NutriGrain bar. Overall, the stay here in Springhill Suties was really great everyone was frinedly and efficient, next time I comeback to Lexington I will for definitely book at this place again.
We believe fun is beautiful. And good for you. Weve curated a new kind of hotel to inspire your adventure, your well-being, and help you feel part of our Kentucky community. Elwood is more than a landing place, its a tribute to a contemporary southern lifestyle.

We stayed here for three days this week. The location is really hard to get to as you have to drive thru a fancy hotel's parking lot to get down to it. It is very dirty looking from the outside. When I entered I asked to see the room prior to checking in and I was told they had taken out the bushes and the shutters to start painting outside. When I inspected the room, it was one of the newer remodeled rooms but you could still tell it was old as there were still holes in the walls where paint had chipped and they just pained over the top of it. The lighting in the parking lot was very minimal so not a place I wanted to be after dark. They were big rooms. The TVs were smaller and the beds were just OK, since it was a newer room the mattresses were quite firm. The shower worked great and we didn't see any bugs while we were there. The breakfast was the worst and we ended up skipping the breakfast as there was no waffle maker and the coffee I had tasted like dirt. There is a Dunkin Donout two blocks down!!! Once when going down to the lobby, the elevator stopped on third floor and the workers doing the remodeling had beer in their hands and a case of beer. The ice machine was broken. They did clean the room pretty well each day but due to the condition of the rest of the hotel and the breakfast I would not recommend it and I won't stay there again.

Was a little concerned after seeing some negative reviews, but our stay last night worked out very well. We were in the Affirmed suite on the first floor (1109) which was spacious and comfortable. Furnishings were attractive, with a sofa and coffee table in front of the TV. There was also a small table with two chairs. Bathroom was large, with both a nice shower and a shower/tub as well as two sinks. The complimentary breakfast was good, although by the time you add coffee, there is a small extra charge (you could always make coffee in the room’s Keurig machine). The one suggestion I would make is to add a shelf or small table next to the pedestal sink for setting out toiletries. Last time we came through Lexington, which we do several times a year, we stayed at the Kentucky Castle, and we we have tried some other hotels downtown, but we feel this stay worked out best for us, so this will become our regular stop from now on.

A lovely hotel. Very clean, very spacious, and very “new” feeling. HOWEVER, the real reason to come here, is to meet ANTONIO who was cooking the made-to-order omelettes for breakfast the day I stayed. Rarely have I met a young man more professional, kind, spirited, uplifting, friendly, and helpful. And his omelette was amazing. But the omelette isn’t what’s really amazing about him, it’s the person he is. If everyone who worked in hospitality was as wonderful as Antonio, traveling would be a joy! He should train everyone in the hospitality industry!

Beautiful facility. The staff is so nice and friendly, from the front desk to the house keepers. Everyone greeted us with a smile. We had a nice stay. The suite we were in was large enough for 5 of us. Very clean. Very nice out door sitting area. Complementary breakfast was hot, I really enjoyed the yogurt bar too.

CConnector771124Overall, a good stay but they have some work to do. Checked in on a Thursday evening and needed a physical key for my wife who didn't want to bother with downloading the app to use a digital key. Stopped at the desk and asked for a physical key. No problem...just asked for the room number and gave my wife the key. Didn't ask for a name. Didn't ask for ID. Just handed over the key. Ever hear of Erin Andrews Hampton?? Inexcusable. She did provide 2 good restaurant suggestions within walking distance so that was good. The other issue with this property is the lack of customer service. A simple good morning goes a long way when away from home. Not here. We did get a very brief greeting our first morning at the breakfast. The next 2 mornings, nothing. It seems the staff have no issue sitting in the breakfast area with the guests, chatting loudly with their co-workers each morning. Not to sound like old man Simpson, but back in my day of working in hotels, that would NEVER be allowed by management. Guess times have changed. Breakfast was the usual ”free” breakfast...powdered eggs (looked like to me), waffle maker, toaster with bread and bagels. Oatmeal, cereal, the usual vat of hard boiled eggs...yuck. Nothing to write home about. The pool looked nice but was chilly during our stay so didn't use the pool area. They do have a rather large fitness room with a Peloton which I was surprised at. Lots of dumbells, benches and various treadmill and I think ellipticals. Overall, the stay was fine. Bed was comfortable, rates were OK. We were there for the Spring Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Next time, we will stay on the Northern side of the 4 circle closer to the park. All of Lexington is very busy so would be preferable to be closer to the park.
BBunny Lovely modern hotel. Clean and best of all pet friendly. Close to the center of down town Lexington and close to the airport and horse park.
Our room had a great view of an historic horse barn. If you love horses it would definitely be a treat to see that view.
There was no shampoo in the rooms and one member of staff was openly rude about a customer they were dealing with on the phone. Unprofessional from this particular staff member, but all other members of staff were polite and profession in manner.
Over all, a lovely stay, and would be happy to stay again.
We arrived to the hotel at 11 pm. Doors were locked. Rang the buzzer. Nobody at the front desk. Another couple. Are in after us. They said they had been calling for an hour and no answer. I called and could hear the phone ringing. Nobody there. Finally after multiple calls and buzzer ringing a woman sauntered casually up to the desk and let us in. She was in no hurry. Zero apology. When we got to our room, it was security locked from the inside like someone was already in there. So we had to go back to the desk to get another room. We were told breakfast was 7-10. When we came down to check out there was an unprofessional woman at the desk eating her breakfast from a styrofoam box that never greeted us. Finally I asked where the breakfast was and she looked at me and said it’s not complimentary, you have to order it but wouldn’t tell us where. Like she couldn’t be bothered. So two front desk women who suck at customer service and unapologetically so. Aside from that, the room was clean and comfy. Someone needs to do some desk training. Never welcomed. Never thanked.
CCrysta PearsonAbsolutely loved this hotel!!! Not sure why it has such a low star. Very clean. Very professional environment. I had the deluxe king suite and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. Only 2 things was I expected it to have a jacuzzi being the king suite and the shower (no tub) was a joke. It had no water pressure like barley even a dribble. Worst shower I have ever used.
We stayed here to break up our trip back from Knoxville to Pittsburgh. Not many people here on a Sunday night as this is primarily a business hotel and interstate traveler hotel. Check in was easy at around 7:00 pm as we were the only ones at the desk. No upgrade to a suite for our SPG Gold status as were told that their larger rooms were being remodeled. No problem as we were staying just that night and leaving early in the morning. Lobby area was clean and looked like it might be under remodel as well. Upon entering our room we found everything in order and clean. No complaints at all. As we a had a couple of hours, we headed down to the bar to see if we could get something to eat & drink. The bar/restaurant area was completely empty except for the bartender who was getting an order ready for room delivery. We ordered a couple of drinks and some wings, tossed salad and desert. The bartender (sorry, I can't remember her name) was very attentive and seemed glad she had some customers. The Kentucky Bourbon Barrel beer on tap that she suggested was excellent as was the ”fruity” drink that she made for my wife. Very nice. The bed was very comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. In the morning we used the shower which was clean and worked well. Typical 4 points standard which we like. We immediately checked out after packing so that we could get on the road. As always, I took photos as we entered the room which I have uploaded here. Do not hesitate to stay here as it was just what we needed for a short overnighter.
BBob HDrove over 1300 kms from Duneden Florida to Lexington Kentucky and just wanted to sleep. Room 140 ground floor so no steps. Perfect. Right? Not so fast. Both beds had stained coverings and the night table still had stains from a prior guest's glass. I went to the front desk and mentioned that the stained coverings should be cleaned before the next guest arrives. I didn't want to move, I just wanted to crash. Bed was comfortable and slept fine. In the morning I showered but couldn't believe that I was left with a bath mat and towel that had thread bare spots. See pictures. If I had stayed at a friend's house I would say something so why not here? They should be ashamed!
GGuest UserThis is a clean pet friendly hotel close to the highway. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff we met, Joyce and Kim were so friendly and sweet. They truly made you feel welcome and at home. We will definitely stay there again if we pass through Lexington. Thank you everyone for giving us such a nice experience.
As soon as we walked into our room, there was what looked like a cockraach on the bathroom floor. We asked if we could switch rooms, they said they were fully booked but would see what they could do. We got to a new room. You could definitely tell the floor wasn't vacuumed. There was also another bug, but at least it was dead. Our table wasnt clean. As we were getting ready for bed and went to plug in our phones, we noticed several pumpkin seeds behind our bed, that had been there for a while. When we took showers the next morning 2 of our towels were stained. At checkout, I told the lady about how badly our room needed vacuumed, especially behind the bed. She says housekeeping knows. If they know, how come it wasn't done!? Needless to say we won't be staying here again. We had family members staying here too and they also had issues with their room as well.
VV4126ZRjeromesFriendly staff. Clean room! If i needed anything i called the front desk a d they brought it to my room. Staff had ob mask and felt safe in my room and good channel selection. So glad i came here will be returning for sure. Thank u
MmelmulderI was hoping all of the negative reviews on this hotel were a thing of the past, and I'm happy to report that for the most part, they are! This is certainly an older hotel, but it has been recently renovated with new vinyl flooring and more modern furniture. The rooms are narrow, but at least mine was clean, so the tiny desk table and low vanity didn't bother me. Renovations were not exactly top notch, but at least it was an effort to modernize the place. Front desk staff was friendly. One thing I really appreciated is that they actually had a grab and go breakfast - juice, coffee, honey buns, apples, and granola bars! It tasted amazing compared to the nicer (and more expensive) hotels who choose to do nothing and chalk it up to the covid craziness.
