I treated my husband to three nights at this lovely old inn/pub. It was an excellent choice. We were looked after really well by every member of the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts which had a huge choice of main courses cooked to order. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were delicious, as was the large plate of smashed avocado on toast which came with tomatoes and several other unexpected delicacies. Excellent chef. We ate only a bowl of soup there on one evening, so can’t comment on the dinners. Lots of space between the tables and a lovely lounge for guests to relax in. Our room was immaculate with plenty of tea and biscuits from which to choose, lots of big, fluffy white towels and comfortable mattresses. It’s worth pointing out just two small things for those with any mobility problems: just be aware that there’s no grab rail of any kind in the shower whose rather slippery shower tray is is a fair height above the floor. The building is old, so the stairs are steep and the treads narrow. This wouldn’t deter us from returning but should perhaps be mentioned at the time of booking. Thank you to everyone concerned.

Driven past this many times , and liked the look of the place. Needed an unplanned meal and thought we'd try out the Kings Head. Wasn't disappointed! From a warm welcome, to the lovely well thought out spacious restaurant, this immediately had a good feel to it. wide range of beer and wine as well as a large choice of menus, for kids too! and specials, this ticked lots of boxes for us. We had a superbly cooked large fillet of steak and chips, kids loved the pasta. Service was perfectly timed and good interaction made us feel valued. Chocolate terrine for desert was amazing too. we felt relaxed, plenty of space on the table and not on top of other diners. recommended without hesitation. So good we've booked for a sunday roast in a few weeks, think that says it all! well done to all the staff that cooked and presented the food to us. Thank you.

Found this place on the A148 to Cromer. Lovely gardens and very helpful staff. Visited twice. Firstly for a drink where we sat in their large garden. Staff very helpful and allowed to us to do take as a chair from inside th we on pub as an my husband has mobility issues and struggled with an the benches. They have an outside bar and kitchen (shack) for garden menu. The second time we visited - today, we sat inside and ordered food from their a la carte menu. Again very helpful and pleasant staff. The food was amazing . Would definitely recommend visiting this place even for just a drink

This hotel couldn’t have been more accommodating. Highly recommend. We arrived late as visiting friends and they were able to delay the kitchen closing to provide food for my son. We had a very restful evening and would definitely come back. Thank you so much :)

Extremely slow service. Seated at 5:45 but mains arrived after 65 minutes. Not made aware of any specials. Fish and chips only moderate size - very ordinary. Chicken breast was over cooked with luke warm vegetables. Ordinary food at inflated prices.

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting north Norfolk Made to feel very welcome on arrival, made a dinner reservation, food was great, not big portions but good quality. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good with cereals and cooked options. Quiet setting, windows not double glazed at property so expect some noise until pub closes.

We stopped over for my partners birthday. We often visit North Norfolk and have driven past everytime saying we must stop and check this place out. So glad we did. The room was clean tidy and comfortable with good size bathroom and excellent shower. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was again excellent although could have done with slightly larger portion. The staff were superb nothing was too much trouble and very attentitive. Excellent choice of beers and spirits. I have two small gripes. We stayed in the room called The Watermill The ventilation was poor. The window was very small and we ended up putting the fan on the window sill (which was noisy) to try and force cool air into the room and also upon entering the room there was a slight smell of oil, possibly heating oil or similar. Not entirely sure where it could come from though. Other than these 2 minor things I couldn't fault the place and would definitely stay here again.
