I have stayed (and reviewed) this hotel before - but on returning to Birmingham for a work trip this was my GO TO place to stay again - and it did not disappoint!!!! Staff is wonderful and friendly and GUESS WHAT.... in these days where hotels don't want to offer ANY housekeeping services - they have Housekeeping Services EVERY DAY here!! Clean and comfortable. Felt safe and secure. Parking lots very well lit.

Cons: First off, yellow stains on the sheets. Also, weird white stains on the floor and bed skirt. The a/c has white stuff growing In it. The paint on the walls is very patchy, and scotch tape to cover up paint blemishes. The hot tub is out of order. The bathrooms need a serious facelift, the corner grout in the shower has black growth on it. The floor above you can hear every footstep perfectly, not sound proof At all. The phone doesn’t work at all. Pros: The room was spacious, shower had good water pressure, and they gave me extra shampoo and conditioner when I asked. Parking was very close and it didn’t take too long to check in. We picked this vote because it was moderately priced, there were many more expensive than this one, and a few cheaper. Next time we are going to spend 50-100$ more for. Stay at a hotel without these issues. I would not stay here again unless I had no other choice.

We traveled to Birmingham for a celebration of life service. All of the hotels were sold out due to a concert; but the staff at the Courtyard Marriott went above and beyond to accommodate us. Specifically Quez and Ervin at the front desk. We were a group of about 15 people and they treated us like family. They ensured we were as comfortable as can be. Especially Ervin. Hus pleasant demeanor, problem solving on room issues and ability to offer suggestions for dining options were superb. I/we really enjoyed our time at the hotel simply due to the customer service of the team. Althea also helped us out with a room switch one night. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is in an ideal location with retail shopping and restaurants nearby. We didnt get to enjoy the pool but that area was nice as well. The beds also were comfortable and the lobby is a nice hang out spot to watch the game or play board games with family. I would recommend this hotel and suggest the Marriott recognizes their outstanding employees offering stellar customer service in this current job market. Good job Ervin, Quez and Althea

Mostly a positive experience. Facility was very clean and room was comfortable. We only stayed one night and left early the next day so we didn't get to explore many of the amenities. One thing that did kind of rub me the wrong way was that, when we got up in the morning to enjoy the continental breakfast, there were signs saying that it would cost around $15-20 per person. That hardly counts as a ”free” breakfast. We ended up going to a nearby Cracker Barrel, paid virtually the same amount, and had a much more enjoyable outing. Other than that one thing, we really liked our stay, the staff, and our room. The hotel is off the beaten path and can be a little difficult to find, but we liked the security of not being on the main road and in a more upscale part of Birmingham. The manager's name is ”Race” and he is a super-cool guy to deal with. He made our reservation process very easy.

I was traveling solo and needed a place to spend the night after a long day in the car. I have had good lunch at Hampton Inns and also knew that as a Hilton family hotel they would take Covid cleaning measures seriously. The front desk staff were very friendly and did a good job explaining the measures they were taking and the services that had changed due to Covid. The room was spotless. There was a slight antiseptic smell, but I was ok with that. There were a few wipes and the tv remote was in a sealed bag. Again, it seemed like they were taking sanitation very serious.
