As covid affected our travel plans twice, we had to alter our booking twice. Staff were very helpful and understanding in facilitating this for which we are grateful. All clean and comfortable beds; everything worked. Our original unit smelled of smoke - staff quickly organised an alternative cabin. You can hear some road noise (from the highway even though it's hundreds of metres away) which would be a problem in warm weather if you like to sleep with windows open. As it was winter it did not impact our sleep.

This place reminds me of when you see a profile picture of someone on social media and think ‘they look attractive!’, then you see them in real life..... 😳. The pictures on the internet look really quite impressive, but if you’re after an honest opinion, here it is: The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, with 2 single beds, 1 queen bed, 1 small round dining table and a tiny kitchenette. You walk inside and kind of just go... (sigh).. ok, well this is fine for one night. Then you start experiencing the crappy bits about it all. The bathroom had (someone else’s) black hairs all over the floor- GROSS! I resorted to wearing my shoes whilst inside from that point onwards. I noticed there was only 3 towels when we had booked for 4 people. I seriously couldn’t be bothered walking all the way around to reception to ask for another (all the entrances were closed except for one, due to covid). The kids wanted to go for a swim, so we went to check out the pool area. Once again, you walk in there and go (sigh). No one else was in there, so hubby decided to let them swim while I rested. It wasn’t long before they returned. I said ‘that was quick!’ and hubby said he wanted to get them out of there because it was gross. Crap floating all through the water and the floor of the pool feeling slightly slimy. Ergh. Morning arrived and we were greeted with delightful black bugs buzzing all around the bathroom. I had a shower and thought the hot water mustn’t have been working as it took SO long for the hot water to come through! The only saving grace was that the beds were comfortable and appeared clean, and the lady at reception was very kind and helpful. Keep in mind it’s on a busy road and not the nicest of areas. I would have preferred to spend slightly extra money to get a decent place that I felt confident was clean.

The kids enjoyed this place more than we did - mainly due to the pool area as it kept them busy for hours. I booked this place based on the great reviews but unfortunately it didn’t quite live us to its reputation in my opinion. The room we got was quite average, though the beds were quite comfortable and the place seemed clean. The biggest thing for me was the odour. As soon as we entered, I could smell a mouldy type smell so had to run an air purifier (which I fortunately took with me). Later I realised that the smell was coming from the bathroom where it was obvious there was some of the roof replaced due to water damage but some still remained. Not a very welcoming scent when you enter and not very healthy for guests to be breathing in!! In terms of the outdoor and conman area facilities, there are lots of things to do and it’s a great set up, just some maintenance issues as there were cracked tiles/flooring around the indoor pool area and a few things in disrepair like the mini golf course. Overall we had a decent enough stay since it was only for 2 nights, I wouldn’t stay longer than that though and I felt it was over priced for what you get.
