Fabulous guest house with a wonderful host who also happens to be an excellent cook/chef. All only 5 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Las Peñitas. The private cabins were very comfortable . There was a very efficient fan and mosquito nets to keep insects at bay. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and the entire place is very well looked after . The garden is well maintained and the communal kitchen is a great idea for those on a tight budget - although Patrick keeps a well stocked fridge for those who wish to have a few beers or soft drinks. There is a pulparia/local shop just across the road from the guesthouse that has virtually all you could wish for from coffee tea sugar beer etc . We didn’t stay in the dormitory but could see that it had good size bunks, a good amount of space, individual fans and again - was exceptionally clean. Patrick is a very talented cook. While we stayed with him he produced a delicious Shrimp dish in a creamy garlic white wine sauce . French onion soup which was out of this world and home made Calzone .You need to ask him what he is making ! It’s not a restaurant, more of pot luck if he is cooking that day. Otherwise we thoroughly recommend the Polish restaurant which is about 7 minutes walk away . Last but by now means least we have to mention Gaston , Patrick’s lovely pampered pooch. He will great you at the door and look after you throughout your stay making you feel and your belongings feel extra secure .
