Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino – Mactan

We stayed in the room for a few hours between flights. The room was clean, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The bedding was fresh. You can walk to any of the airport terminals from the hotel.

I came to Cebu, Philippines for business. I heard the Philippines can be a bit chaotic, so I chose this hotel near the airport. It's about 500m from the airport, a 10-minute walk. However, the room is quite old, especially the facilities, which seem decades old. You can imagine its former glory, but it's certainly not like that anymore. Plus, the room rate was expensive, over 700 yuan. The air conditioning in the room was set very cold; even with two duvets, it felt just right. I tried to turn up the temperature, but couldn't, and I couldn't turn it off either.

This hotel is okay if you just need a quick stopover for a night. Overall, it's not bad, and it's incredibly close to the airport – just cross the road and you're there. **Cleanliness:** Other aspects of cleanliness were mostly fine, but what really bothered us was finding a large amount of dirty marks on both sides of the bedsheet when we checked in, almost as if it had been stepped on. We contacted the front desk, and they sent an employee to change the sheets. And guess what? The guy came, unfolded the new sheet, and found another big stain on it! So he had to go back and get another one. The *next* new sheet also had a small stain, but after all that hassle and with it being past 1 AM, we just gave up and didn't bother complaining again.

You can walk directly from the airport to the hotel. I also messaged them in advance to pick me up from the airport, and both the pick-up and drop-off services were excellent. The breakfast was also very generous! I'll definitely stay here again if I have another layover.
