Zhongshan Inn is located in Changpingzhen, a ******* style village part of Siguniangzhen at about 3200m altitude (good for acclimatization if you want to go further to Danba, Tagong, Kangding). The bus from and to Chengdu Chadianzi station stops in 5min walking distance from the Inn. To Shuangqiao Valley one needs a driver (about 7 km away, 15 min drive). To Changping Valley (6km away, short ride) one has to take the shuttle bus, the bus stop is a 5 min walk away. The trailhead to Haizi Valley is in 5 min walking distance, one can walk over directly. I stayed here in the week before the Spring Festival. The village and the Inn have been extremely quiet, just a few visitors (many stores and Inns were closed due to the holiday). Hiking and trekking opportunities around this place are rich and beautiful, worth a several day visit. The staff of the guesthouse is very, very kind and goes out of the way to help and support. The owner is a young man who can speak and understand English (great for foreigners). Rooms are spacious, warm, and tidy (bathtub, heating blanket, floor heating) at a fair price. For animal lovers: there are a Husky dog and several cats in the house. In the village you can see the integrated life of villagers and their tiny horses (many of them work as pack animals in the valleys), yaks and cows. Expect some travel hassle if you go by bus or car during the winter season with snow and ice on a small curvy street through spectacular mountains. Needs patience, things will take much longer then.

The room has everything you need, including a humidifier, a shared respirator, and toiletries. The hotel's restaurant is also very rich, with dinner and breakfast. I had hot pot the night I arrived. It was a 2+1 small meal, and the three of us were very full. , the nearby environment is very good, parking is convenient, the performing arts center is diagonally opposite, and it is only 200 meters away from the Changpinggou gate. It is very close. I will come again next time!

The breakfast is also very good, and the hotel front desk staff is very nice. However, I encountered a similar problem to a guest who gave a bad review before. The lifting bar in and out of the garage at the gate was too narrow, and the rearview mirror hit the lifting bar on the opposite side of the garage. The guard said that the bar was crooked (I didn't observe it carefully before, and it didn't affect the opposite side to see the car entering). Although I checked the rearview mirror and there were no scratches at all, considering that this swing lifting bar with maintenance marks at the connection with the gate visually belongs to the value of a four-star hotel, and recalling that there were reviews before that suggested that there would be a risk of being beaten, it is better to have less trouble than more, so I gave 150 and left... Of course, the guard handled it without any problem, and the damage to the items would be his dereliction of duty. The original intention is still to hope that the hotel will complete the accumulation of funds as soon as possible with the accumulation of me and other customers, and stop patching it up, or complete the equipment update as soon as possible, after all, even the gate is only a few hundred things... Of course, if the hotel regards this as a potential income-generating project, just ignore what I said before. Therefore, friends who have a budget of 150 are recommended to stay here. It is good in all aspects in the scenic area.

We were dropped off at the door of the Shangping Gou tourist attraction and saw that in 2026 there should be a high speed train opening, which is very close to the hotel. Looking from the window, you can see it. Going to stay again. Cleanliness is good, facilities are good, there is a lift, a floor heater and a heated bed.

There were beef head meat, shredded pork with green peppers, and fried yak meat with celery. The ingredients were all bought fresh by the proprietress that day. My friend and I loved it. We were trying to lose weight, but ended up doing it twice in a row. A bowl of rice hahahahahaha. There are also wines made by the proprietress herself, such as cherry wine, cherry wine, wolfberry wine, etc. (I listened to the proprietress's introduction, and it should be these). I tasted a small glass of cherry wine, and it was delicious! Breakfast is also super rich, including porridge, steamed buns and eggs, and side dishes include garlic peanuts and spicy pickles. My friend and I went to Shuangqiaogou, and the boss personally drove us there. After that, when we left Siguniang Mountain, the boss helped us call a taxi, so we didn’t have to worry about inconvenient transportation. My friend is a super social person, so when we were saying goodbye, we took a photo with the three of us. It was a very happy experience! 🥳 ps: There are cute cats and dogs in the store. The cats are raised by the owner. The dogs seem to be stray puppies but they will come in to visit! The young lady I met by chance went crazy, she was so cute hhhhh
