Calabash Hotel

We LOVED our vacation at Calabash to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! Everyone went above & beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable!!! The food is absolutely incredible. Still dreaming about our amazing breakfast on our front porch and all of the amazing dinner options! We miss the sour sop fruit and sorbet so much!! And the banana bread!! The beach is so peaceful and quiet, a wonderful place to relax and read a book. We also loved how calm the water is! I had the most amazing massage with Godlyn - the lemongrass massage made me feel so relaxed and rejuvenated! It was truly the best week ever and we already want to come back! The most special part of Calabash is all of the kind people who make your stay so incredible. They truly want to make your stay memorable!!

The Calabash is outstanding in almost every aspect. Communication from the hotel pre-arrival was great and included questions regarding arrival time and airline so the hotel could arrange transportation. Even though there was a delay getting through passport control due to new immigration systems, the driver was waiting for us with a welcome air conditioned vehicle. We were greeted on arrival at the hotel with not only a refreshing drink but also smiles from the staff that lasted throughout our stay. Our suite was cool and beautifully appointed with a really comfortable bed and possibly the best shower ever! It goes without saying the food is wonderful, we especially enjoyed the Japanese style Nori restaurant. Sitting on comfortable sunbeds on the sandy beach under the shady trees was so relaxing, birds singing and gentle waves lapping. Everything was just about perfect….apart from the staff who were somehow even better! I will not name any members of staff for fear of missing someone, suffice to say, everyone we encountered was absolutely wonderful, so polite, so helpful and so so friendly. Well done to all concerned.

Calabash is a beautiful hotel with exceptional, warm and friendly staff, wonderful amenities, and a variety of quality restaurant options. Outstanding stay- we hope to be back!

This property certainly provides a five star experience. My wife and I discussed whether we could come up with any negatives and were unable to find one. We can’t wait to return

Such a beautiful place with world-class staff. Waking up each morning, having a delicious breakfast on our balcony and looking out on the lovely grounds and the sea beyond . . . The staff is truly extraordinary - every warm, welcoming and wanting to do everything they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Our return flight was delayed and they could not have been more helpful.

A wonderful week spent at this beautiful resort. It was so relaxing . I cannot give any negative comments. The hotel staff should be congratulated for providing such excellent friendly, caring service. I can see why guests return to the Calabash multiple times!

From pre-arrival email correspondence, to the staff waving goodbye at our departure, everything was worthy of more than 5 stars! Accomodations were luxurious and spacious: fully stocked mini bar included many complimentary options, Elemis bath products, fluffy towels, fine bedding, comfy couches/chairs, and a large balcony all made our stay enjoyable. The staff greeted us upon arrival (thank you Stevens and Elle) and immediately we felt at home. Attentive front desk staff arranged all of our transportation needs. Terrific staff at Nori and The Beach House rounded out a perfect stay.

A wonderful stay. This family run hotel balances professionalism with friendliness beautifully. The quality of rooms, food, staff were fantastic. The three restaurants gave plenty of options, including having specials at the main restaurant, which meant that you could eat in house every night if you chose. Equally, the hotel is within a 15 minute taxi ride to a wider range of restaurants. It’s a peaceful place, with lovely grounds and pretty views. The spa massages were also good.
