The hygiene was decent, but honestly, 1350 RMB isn't worth it. Plus, they charged an extra 200 RMB for the sofa bed, even though I told the front desk it was included in my booking. So, it ended up being 1550 RMB for one night, which is even more expensive than where I stayed in Sydney, without being any cleaner or having a better environment. Definitely poor value for money!

This hotel offers breathtaking views and is definitely worth a stay. Waking up to the beautiful scenery, including the small chapel at the hotel opposite, is truly therapeutic. The staff are also very friendly. Highly recommended, it was a fantastic experience!

It is a two storey apartment. It is spacious and comfortable. The view outside is beautiful. You can be completely relaxed living there.

The location is fantastic! It's right across the street from the lakeside shopping area and a supermarket. Shepherd's Church is also less than a 10-minute walk away. The bedroom is on the first floor, while the living room and balcony on the second floor offer direct lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped, so cooking your own meals is no problem at all. The front desk has a Chinese-speaking staff member who was very friendly and provided detailed, helpful information, which was really nice. The breakfast spread was also excellent.

The hotel room having a lake view, the room are clean, The surround landscaping environment are great. The restaurant food quality are lousy and not up to the standard is expected, it cost us nearly NZD190.00 and we rather take a cup noddle for dinner

This was my first trip to New Zealand and I stayed at Peppers Bluewater Resort. Even though we arrived two hours before check-in, they kindly accommodated us, which was a huge relief for us as we were tired from the long journey and a bit nervous. The staff were all very kind and helpful, which was great. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious.

The view wasn't quite what I imagined; the lake view wasn't very close. The hygiene was normal. The shower had good water pressure and hot water, but it was a bit hard to control the temperature. The cooking utensils were very complete. The reception staff's attitude was fine.

Rooms are very small, don’t recommend the petite room. Location is not too bad as it’s a small town.

I booked a mountain-view room, and it was on the first floor. It was a duplex, one-bedroom with a living room and a balcony. Free parking was a plus. The room came with a full set of kitchen utensils. The hotel is right across from the lake, and there's a supermarket and restaurants nearby. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and helpful. It was also super convenient to walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd for stargazing at night.

Glad we chose this spot as our honeymoon spot :) the view was really pretty & the location is so close to lake tekapo. had a great time cooking in the kitchen & spending time with my spouse. Will definitely stay here again if I visit lake tekapo again.

Fantastic location! The hotel is right in front of Lake Tekapo, with a supermarket nearby. It's about a 30-minute drive to Mount John and a 5-minute drive to the Church of the Good Shepherd. The full kitchen facilities were a lifesaver for my 'Chinese stomach,' and the service was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful. A really enjoyable holiday, highly recommended!

Peppers Bluewater Resort was excellent. The location is fantastic with beautiful surroundings and convenient access to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, professional, and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. The room and facilities were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the area

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom lake view suite, it was well appointed and stylish, huge kitchen and living area and amazing views over the lake. However, for 4 adults, a single bathroom at this price point is unacceptable. Not even a powder room with a second toilet. Also, the bathroom fan and heater sounds like a jet engine in the second bedroom, which woke us up. Poor water pressure in the shower too. When we arrived both rooms were made up as single queen beds and we needed one changed to a twin. I called reception and was put on hold then hung up on after several minutes wait, two times. Then I tried calling again 5 times and the phone rang out. When I finally got through I was given attitude about the request to change one to a twin. Then we had to call again after 2 hours as nobody had been sent to split the beds. Oh also the mattress’ are firm and you can feel the springs. Not luxurious at all.

If you don't have a car, you'll have to drag your luggage quite a distance from the front desk to your room. The units are separate buildings; each single-story building seems to be a single room, and each two-story building likely contains two rooms. If you book one room, there's a good chance you'll be sharing a building with others, and the soundproofing isn't great. On our second night, a family checked in next door and chatted loudly until very late. The room itself is small, but they provide two small armchairs. These would be nice to put on the balcony when the weather is warm, but they take up a lot of space indoors when it's cold. There's no table, so nowhere to eat takeout. It's best to book a second-floor room with a balcony, as you'll get a much better view and can see the lake. Otherwise, on the first floor, all you see are other buildings. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the lake. However, it's very close to the 'city center'; you can walk to 4 Square and the lakeside. You still can't see the Milky Way from the hotel grounds at night; you need to walk closer to the lake for a clearer view.
