Hotels with Swimming Pools in Lake Mary

I stayed at this hotel during a trip between Maryland and Tampa, FL. The hotel is conveniently located just off of I-4 a little north of Orlando. The Westin Lake Mary is a large, modern hotel and is well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming and had Covid-protocols in place. There was plenty of free parking at the hotel. The rooms were very modern and up-to-date, including the TV, furniture, carpeting, linens and bathrooms. All supplies were well-stocked. There was a restaurant/bar just off the lobby on the main floor, along with a small marketplace to get snacks, sodas, beer, etc. Ice machines were located on each floor. Check-in and check-out was very easy. There is plenty of commercial activities around the hotel (which is the Heathrow area of Florida, and somewhat upscale), including restaurants and shopping. There was a McDonalds adjacent to the Westin which was good for a quick meal if needed. All-in-all, this is a quite exceptional and well-maintained hotel and I would highly recommend it for any stay. I have no negative comments and would say that this is a great hotel to stay at when visiting Central Florida. Well done!!!!

Upon arrival time the service clerk was very nice and accommodating. I really appreciate that they allow me to check in a bit earlier due to my early arrival. I was really pleased to hear that the laundry was free of charge. I stayed an additional day to spend time with my grandkids. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

While the hotel’s interiors have been newly renovated and it appears inviting due to the cosmetic improvements, there are still issues galore and many repairs are still in need of completion. Our first king suite room had torn window screens and a leak developed in the bedroom ceiling during the night, causing ceiling material to start peeling and dropping on the floor. The front desk was quick to accommodate us for a room change for the second night but they offered us a handicapped unit directly adjacent to the highway. The road noise was unacceptable so we declined it for another unit. The third unit was favorably located so we took it. However, the shower in that unit wouldn’t drain properly so you had to stand in two inches of water while showering and you had to crank the hot water to the highest setting to get barely warm water. The breakfast was cold both days and the staff wasn’t on top of replenishing coffee, etc. The staff at this hotel are what warrants the 3-star review. They are friendly and welcoming and they are the only asset to the property from our perspective. But the old adage that “you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig”) really applies to this hotel. The cosmetic changes makes it appear more palatable for a stay but there are underlying issues that still require improvement.
