From Check in to check out the Cascades team could not have done more to accommodate our Valentines visit to thier Wellness Resort. Jaoa on check in and Anita Santos, Guest Service are great Ambassadors for there employers. Accommodation, Spa, Restaurant, bar ( thank you Mario) all delivered more than expected. When I checked in, I was a little bit of an episode. The hotel closed the room. I still sold the basic room. After I went to the store, I started to say that there was no room. Later, I said that there is a room for sea view. I need to add money. However, Ctrip has negotiated internally and super-fast communication with online customer service. After the call, I immediately went to the front desk. Hotel room is small but very clean. The terrace is very big and the sun is beautiful. The hotel is right next to the beach. The scenery is very invincible. The front desk staff compares nice breakfast is really super disgusting. I have seen the most unpalatable meat and sausages are artificial meat. Fruit is canned coffee. The total price is very cheap. Breakfast is good. There is a small shop in the downstairs. Simple daily necessities can be bought. No drinking water in the room, buy it yourself.

This is the email I have sent to the hotel manager on return to UK, I would stress that the apartments, complex, restaurant and staff are superb, but you can see what spoiled an expensive week for me . Dear Manager   I would like to thank you and all your staff for a lovely stay in your apartments. My husband and I stayed in apartment 211 from the 10th of September for 7 days. The apartment and complex are very pretty and always clean. The food in the restaurant is well priced and excellent quality. However, I would particularly like to thank all your staff from the maids to the receptionists and the restaurants and bar staff. They are all very helpful and very polite and are a credit to your apartments. We would like to thank Ines as she tried to deal with a slightly distressing problem. You may be aware that in the garden area outside room 211 there is an injured seagull. It cannot fly and was killing the smaller birds for food (which was not pleasant to see and hear – I couldn’t sit out on the balcony), it was also distressing to see the seagull struggle for food and water. Ines tried to get the relevant authority to come and collect the bird but they hadn’t turned up when we left. Of course, now with the terrible wildfires they will be even more stretched. I wanted to ask the management if they could look at this situation and try to resolve it , even if it means paying for a vet to attend and take of the seagull. We had a lovely stay at Belmar Spa & Beach Resort. The location was really great - we could walk 2 minutes to the beach, it was super quiet, and drinks & dinner in historic downtown every night was just a 4-5 minute uber/bolt. Our one bedroom apartment had a lovely view of the ocean and an inifinity pool, which made sunsets very pretty. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio with some charcuterie and wine to enjoy the view! The apartment had a washing machine which was super helpful, and a drying rack on the porch. The restaurant was closed for the month, which we knew in advance so I can't speak to that, or how the breakfasts are. It was very nice to have a gym available, and there are outdoor pools but we learned that they are not heated, so not usable a this time. My disappointment was that a big part of why I booked this resort was for the indoor heated pool, and hydrotherapy/hot tub. When we arrived Saturday, they gave us a rundown but didn't mention the indoor water so I asked, and got a response that was pretty vague but ultimately that they had a fire in that room during the week, they were investigating it, and he had no idea when it would be open. I asked again the following day and got a non-answer. I finally spoke to a very nice woman at reception and she explained a little more and it became pretty obvious (even though no one said this) that we would not have access our whole trip. A week after the fire, that spa/pool area was set to be closed for reno work/maintenance, so interesting timing possibly. Anyway, I was a little upset that no one notified us of this closure prior to arrival, or even upon arrival. I feel bad that this happened and it is not the staff's fault at all. Anyway, when everything is up and working I could imagine this being the perfect stay!

Omg what can we say. Love love love this place. 5 stars all round. Breakfast was amazing. Evening meal even better. We have stayed in lots of places over the world but this was by far the best service and food ever. Nothing was too much trouble. Lluis, Sunny and Sanni omg we loved you guys. Thank you so much for spoiling us and making our stay just perfect. 5 star service. We will be back. Love to Any in the morning was nice seeing your smile everyday . Overall, it is very good. But some facilities, like exhaust fan in toilet, safe need repairs

We visited at the end of May 2022 and stayed for a week. We were really impressed with our apartment (number 601). This was a partial sea-view room. It was well situated, with beautiful views of palm trees and a glimpse of the sea. It was also close to the pool and facilities. The rooms were clean and well looked after. The decor was simple but welcoming. The ground-floor terrace was attractive, and the hedging/flowers/grass was all well manicured and maintained. We opted for self-catering to give us flexibility. The kitchen was equipped to make simple meals. It had a hot plate, microwave and fridge freezer, with plenty of basic utensils. We visited the bar once or twice for a quick cocktail, and the ones we tried were very tasty. We visited during happy hour, which made the price reasonable. It would perhaps be a bit expensive outside of happy hour. The pool area was beautiful, with lots of sun loungers and parasols. It was very quiet whenever we visited. A few people sunbathing and perhaps one or two in the pool. We all loved the pool! Initially cold, but fine once you dunk yourself in! The indoor pool and hot tub were an added bonus too. We hired a car from the airport, and I'm glad that we did as it made it a lot easier to visit the shop and see the sights in the local area. A car isn't necessary if you plan to stay on the resort and at the local beach, but otherwise I would definitely recommend hiring one. In summary, a perfect place for a quiet and peaceful holiday. It was sometimes so peaceful that we could have imagined that we were the only ones there. Wonderful. I'd definitely return.

This is our third stay at Solar de Mos, although due to Covid and my partner’s ill health we haven’t been back for a while. We missed it. Why is that…well it offers a friendly, relaxing environment, not too far, but far enough away, from the bustle of the town centre. The new wings offer excellent quality rooms which are well kept and very clean. And parking is easy outside in the side street. There is a small bar if one wants a night-cap after a dinner down town and the breakfast offers a selection including some hot items, which is fine in the climate. All of that is good but it wouldn’t make for a happy holiday if the staff weren’t friendly. And that is where Solar de Mos excels. From check-in to check-out everyone was kind and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble, and it’s the main reason we will continue to come here when next in Lagos.
