Looking at other reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but they are also very old. So my august 2023 review: We had a long layover at Labuan Bajo for our flight to Ende. Took a cab to town to find a place to stay for 4 hours. Non were able to give us a room besides Orange Hotel. Yes, the rooms are basic (but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other guesthouses around Flores). Our rooms was clean which is most important to us. We had space to put a suitcase. AC that worked well, bed was comfy for a nap. There was no toilet paper so we went to ask. Staff does not speak English very well but eventually understood and gave us some. They arranged a cab for us back to the airport. It's centrally located and walking distance to all the tourist spots. It's a good place to stay when you are on a tighter budget.
