La Mandarinette

The setting is gorgeous. The view of the bay that we happen to know well, as we own a house in region since 1978, made waking up every day a wonderful experience. The room has an air conditioner and heater, is attractively decorated, but there are a few small problems: the separate toilet is in a very small space and could pose a problem if you were a big person. Breakfast was first rate and the owner is a warm and friendly person. The swimming pool is large and inviting and set ina wonderful garden. The view of the palms and other flowering trees and shrubs is very good for the soul. The parking place is fine. Tamaris is the most beautiful and serene part of this coast. You are very close to the boats that take you to Toulon , the largest commuter naval network in France. The nearby beach of Les Sablettes has soft sand and lots of restaurants. You can get a boat in the morning to the finest site in the area, the island of Porquerolles. There is a fine art gallery that is free called the Villa Tamaris quite close. In Les Sablettes there are supermarkets. This area of the Cote d'Azur is NOT snobby, but rather family oriented. There is a daily market in La Seyne. Finally, the walk along the shimmering Mediterranean with views of Cap Sicié and Saint Mandrier makes it all worth it.

Lovely short stay The villa is set in very quiet grounds with a lovely pool to use and share with the family of the hosts. The hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful and i always enjoyed our conversations - even with the use of a translator app ! The villa is right on the beach though is easy to miss the first time you arrive. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much indeed.
