Breakfast was like at the three star hotel

The hotel has a nice location but the service was inadequate. They charged for two cups of tea, which was very unpleasant.

Although the honeymoon couple made a reservation at the hotel, they were told that the payment had not been received and were kept waiting for a long time. This situation was unfortunately not compensated. This is a shameful situation for the service industry. The situation was resolved after about 1-1.5 hours by proving that we had made the payment months ago and with our credit card statement. It is a very sad situation, a tragedy. (.)

We had a fantastic stay at the Colony Hotel in Kyrenia. From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb—genuinely friendly, happy, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. Their warmth and professionalism made a real difference to the whole experience. The accommodation was of a very high standard: comfortable, well presented and a pleasure to return to after a day exploring or relaxing. The hotel also has very good recreational facilities, giving plenty of opportunity to unwind and enjoy the stay without needing to go far. Overall, a lovely hotel with excellent service, quality accommodation and a welcoming atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would happily return.

whilst not staying here this time whenever im in girne i always go for a massage here. lady was excellent and pressure was exactly what i wanted. i made the mistake of staying elsewhere this holiday but wont repeat that. it will be colony and then arkin palm beach next time. you get what you pay for. beautiful hotel, very clean good rooms if your at the back away from the road noise.

We received a lovely welcome upon arrival – thank you so much for the thoughtful upgrade for my parents in celebration of my dad’s birthday. The surprise bottle of champagne and cake were both excellent and made the occasion even more special. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety and high quality. The location is perfect, and the hotel itself is fabulous – a true 5-star experience in every way. We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels across Cyprus and Turkey, but The Akin Colony truly stands out. The management is clearly knowledgeable and runs a tight ship. The cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel are remarkable, and the standards are consistently high. We couldn’t have asked for more – highly recommended.

I recently had the most delightful stay and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment when we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an exceptional experience once again. The room was very clean, spacious, and, with a large supportive bed. The cleaning staff were very much on top of there game with fresh towels and replacement toiletries. The breakfast and dinner were very good as was the choices of food on offer, all was cooked and baked to a top standard. The hotel’s amenities, including the spa and inviting pool, added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. We booked massages in the spa and we’re very pleased with the service. The true highlight, however, was the staff’s thoughtfulness in making my birthday unforgettable. Without any prior request, they surprised me with a decorated birthday cake and a chilled bottle of champagne delivered to our room whilst we were out and on or return was a lovely surprise. The cake was not only gorgeous but absolutely delicious it was rich, moist, and perfectly flavoured. The champagne was a lovely touch as was the hand drawn card, elevating the celebration to something very special. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care made me feel so valued and celebrated. Every aspect of our stay, from the impeccable service to the charming ambiance, was flawless. The surprise gesture from the team turned a great stay into an extraordinary one. I’m already looking forward to returning to in the near future. Paul and Jane.

My 3rd stay in the Arkin Colony As perfect as ever Cleanliness and food excellent The staff all helpful always polite I would like to name 3 people who went above and beyond when my husband fell ill Octay Decibas serving my husband food in our room when he couldn’t get to the restaurant and also Aybuke and Mevlude the receptionists who helped calling an ambulance and providing a car to bring us back from the hospital I don’t know how I would have managed without them Thank you all again and hope to see you all again next year

Excellent Hotel fabulous rooms with balcony and roof top pool and restaurant. buffet is varied and serves international food as well as Turkish quite a busy area so need tye double glazing but good location for shopping and site seeing. friendly staff

Excellent hotel in centre of Kyrenia. Spotlessly clean. Lovely rooms. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help opening doors etc. Great pool on roof...shame it wasn't heated- it was April. Nice bar on roof level for a last drink each night. Cannot fault the hotel. The window in the adjoining hotel was amazing. Thank you to all the staff.

The positives are the rooftop pool, the location and the food in the rooftop restaurant However, the service levels are appalling. The attitude of several staff members is appalling. Being charged for coffee at breakfast on a B&B rate, cold milk for tea, any more water than two small bottles our first night of a 3 night stay is incredibly mean. Most of the sockets in the rooms don’t work. You can’t control the air conditioner temperature in the rooms. This is possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s an appalling impersonation of a five star hotel staffed by people who have no idea how to provide good hospitality to their guests.
