Hotel Livemax Kyoto Teramachidori

Kyoto|0.21km from Nihongo Center
The good place is Kyoto with bad hotel conditions, but anyway the room is large! Thing. The room was a double bed, but there is enough space to fit another bed, and you can spread your suitcase and organize your luggage. In this class of inn, there are many hotels that have no space other than beds, and it is a valuable size in this time of year. It is a seven-story building, and there is a building next to the fourth floor on the south side, regardless of the north side, so the windows are very oppressive. If you don't just sleep, the upper floors are better. There is no problem with cleanliness and equipment. The location is subtle. It is close to the Kamogawa Takase River and is suitable for walking in the river. Walking distance to Shijo Kawaramachi. But it's not ”immediate” on foot. Will you revisit? The most catchy thing is transportation. There are many bus stops near Kyoto Station, but the routes are in the directions of Kawaramachi, Gion, Pontocho, and Shimizu, so it's very crowded anyway. A taxi is required for a big cherry blossom. It's really far to walk. It took 1h5min, including the waiting time for the return bus, to leave my luggage at the inn and make a round trip from Kyoto Station to pick up this in the evening. The return bus was so crowded that I often put it on. After all, it is safer along the subway and Hankyu lines. There is no price, no good or no bad. Under this condition, it is not expensive considering the market price in Kyoto, but there is no sense of profit.

Len Kyoto Kawaramachi

When I found this hostel online, it looked like it could potentially be one of the best places I ever stayed. It had a look about it that suggested it would be a fun, hip, happening place that would be the icing on a triumphant trip to Kyoto. In some respects, it was good. I loved the industrial-chic minimalist design. The bed was comfortable (and gigantic King size). The room well appointed, and there were good facilities. It had a lift too, which was a bonus. Location was pretty good too, easy bus ride from the station, and central to most things in Kyoto (or an easy bus/train ride away). However, there were some negatives. Firstly, the 4pm check-in meant I had to wait far longer than I would have reasonably expected to get in to the room (at least they stored my bag). Secondly, there was no effort to encourage guests to mix, no social activities etc. I guess they just hoped it would all happen organically, but it really just meant people sat around on their laptops or phones - not totally the fault of the hostel. The noise was also an issue. Hostels can be noisy, I get that - but the polished concrete floors and design meant that noise just echoed everywhere. And loudly. Where it fell down was the pricing. The room itself cost me more than the 3 star hotel (with private ensuite) would have that I had originally booked. The cafe and bar were also outrageously priced, even by Japanese standards. The Granola at 700Y came in a coffee mug. Not even a bowl size. Coffee itself was well in excess of 500Y (though it was decent enough), and the craft beer was criminally expensive at nearly 600Y for about 200ml of beer is just ridiculous. If you don't eat or drink at the cafe, and have a decent budget, then you'll find this is quite a good place to stay.

I was pretty worried at the beginning of the review, but it was really okay, right next to Kamogawa, there are a lot of restaurants in a row, the quiet side of the road is good, I like it. The room was clean, the windows opened well and the room was relatively large. We will ask for reservations if we are late for breakfast. The disadvantage is that it is quite far from the subway and attractions. It is just in the middle of Dijo Shijo Station and Gojo, which is more suitable for leisure travel partners.

The photos both here and on booking do not do this hotel justice. It was so much more pretty. I stayed in much more expensive ones in Kyoto and yet I will 100% return here. The rooms are so beautiful, clean, cozy and cute, especially the tatami/japanese style ones. The bathroom was beautiful, with a separate toilet and separate bath and shower (and everything looking brand new). The staff is very kind and the location is simply perfect (and I had a great veiw of Gion from my window).
GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO
4.7/5301 Reviews
This was my first trip to Kyoto and there are many options for hotels. I was having trouble deciding exactly where but Good Nature turned out to be an excellent choice because: 1. It's right downtown - a few minutes walk to two subway stops - you'll use the subway to get to good attractions like Inari, Nara, Kiyomizu 2. you are also within walking distance to Pontocho, Gion, Nishiki markets 3. There were 3 of us so we had 3 individual beds - in a standard room and despite this being 28m2 the layout of the room is very good. Of course, if you want the deluxe room it's much bigger but it will cost a lot more 4. Managed to score a trip.com 36% discount (for 5 nights) which was a no-brainer (we just got the room only) - pay for buffet breakfast if you must (plenty of Starbucks around if that's your thing) - I did book the first night separately direct through the hotel website though as the trip.com offer didn't extend for 6 nights 5. The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and explained everything. 6. Buffet breakfast was a good selection of Western and Asian choices. The restaurant was very clean. The prosciutto was amazing!
Waka Kyoto Kawaramachi Hotel

The transportation is very convenient. It is within a ten-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station (take the Hankyu Express to Osaka) and Kawaramachi Daimaru Takashimaya and Nishiki Market shopping districts. There are so many choices for shopping and dining. It is almost an easy walk to the Kamogawa River for a run or a walk. Just steps away, you can reach bus stops such as 5, 17, 205 and other lines. If you walk slowly, it only takes half an hour to reach Gion and Ninnezaka Kiyomizu Temple. In addition, the girl at the front desk is Chinese and her service is very enthusiastic. This autumn viewing trip was very pleasant and I will come back next time!
R&B Hotel Kyoto Shijyo Kawaramachi

It is located at the entrance of Buddhist temple street for about 4 minutes walk from Shijo Kawaramachi. In the cheap version of the Washington Hotel, there is no public bathhouse that cuts the service to the edge and is popular in business hotels. The room size, facilities, etc. are standard for business hotels. Bedding, toothbrushes and razors are received at the front desk. However, the quality of razors was bad and the skin was cut. It is a pity that the lighting in the room is white fluorescent color and it is cold 々 impression. This wants to improve. Check out only puts the card into the machine. Not long after the opening, the building is beautiful overall. However, I think the hair remains on the bus and the cleaning is one now. Breakfast with free is a minimum set of several kinds of warm bread and cup soup, coffee and juice. Coffee had a cup service that could be drunk in the room. The price setting of 6000 yen is a major business hotel with a price of close to 20000 yen in business, and this location, this fee, and this facility can be said to be the best level without complaint. It is recommended because the net reservation of the company becomes the cheapest.
BnA Alter Museum

The rooms are large and new, with a sense of design and bright light, and the bathrooms are upscale. But there are a lot of stones for sale, with all kinds of nondescript paintings painted on it. They are also protected as big works of art, and I don't like it. The bed is sandwiched between the walls, leaning against the wall on three sides, and cannot be from both sides, which is very inconvenient. Tired for a day, it was inconvenient and very tortured.   The receptionist Ben? (Tall white man) was very friendly. The hotel is only 2 or 3 minutes walk from Kamo River, and there is a small river in the middle. The water on the shore is like Pingjiang Road in Suzhou. However, there is a ten-minute walk to the most prosperous area of Heyuan Town. There is no place to eat and drink around at night, and it is dark. On the last day, he moved back to New Jingji.
